The Corrs have released seven studio albums and numerous singles that have achieved Platinum status in several countries. They have sold an estimated 40 million albums worldwide. Their most successful album, "Talk on Corners," reached multi-Platinum certification in Australia and became the highest-selling album of the year in the United Kingdom. The band is among a small number of artists who have held the top two positions simultaneously in the UK album charts, with "Talk on Corners" at number one and "Forgiven, Not Forgotten" at number two. In Australia, "Talk on Corners" was the third highest-selling album of the year. Their third studio album, "In Blue," reached number one in seventeen countries.
The Corrs have received two Grammy Award nominations and one BRIT Award, and were honored with MBEs in 2005 in recognition of their contributions to music and charitable work. They have participated in various philanthropic initiatives, including performances at The Prince's Trust event in 2004 and Live 8 in 2005.
The band was on hiatus for nearly a decade while Jim and Caroline focused on raising families and Andrea and Sharon pursued solo careers alongside family life. According to Sharon, it was uncertain whether the group would reunite. In early 2015, speculation about a reunion emerged, and in a June 2015 radio interview with Chris Evans, Andrea confirmed that the Corrs were working on a new album and would perform at that year's BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park festival. Their sixth studio album, "White Light," was released on 27 November 2015 and was followed by a European tour. Their seventh studio album, "Jupiter Calling," was released on 10 November 2017.

There are couples standing on the street
Sharing summer kisses and silly sounds
So I step inside, pour a glass of wine
With a full glass and an empty heart
I search for something to occupy my mind
'Cause you are in my head, swimming forever in my head
Tangled in my dreams, swimming forever
So I listen to the radio (listen to the radio)
And all the songs we used to know (we listened to)
So I listen to the radio (listen to the radio)
Remember where we used to go?
Now it's morning light and it's cold outside
Caught up in a distant dream
I turn and think that you are by my side
So I leave my bed and I try to dress (I try to dress)
Wondering why my mind plays tricks
And fools me into thinking you are there
But you're still in my head
Swimming forever in my head
Not lying in my bed, just swimming forever
So I listen to the radio (listen to the radio)
And all the songs we used to know (we listened to)
So I listen to the radio (listen to the radio)
Remember where we used to go?
So I listen to the radio (listen to the radio)And all the songs we used to know (we listened to)
So I listen to the radio (listen to the radio)
Remember where we used to go?
You are in my head, swimming forever
So I listen to the radio (listen to the radio)
And all the songs we used to know (we listened to)
So I listen to the radio (listen to the radio)
Remember where we used to go?
I listen to the radio (listen to the radio)
To all the songs we used to know (we listened to)
I listen to the radio (listen to the radio)
To all the songs, all the songs we used to know
Yeah (listen to the radio)
Oh, the songs we used to know, yeah (listen to the)
(Listen to the radio)
All the songs we used to know
The Corrs' "Radio" portrays a melancholic state of mind prevalent in the wee hours of the night. The singer, feeling lonely and dejected, seeks solace in a glass of wine while reminiscing on memories of summer kisses and city sounds, which only intensifies their feeling of loneliness. The theme of loneliness is further accentuated by the lyrics referencing the singer's search for activities to fill their empty heart and occupy their mind.
The song then transitions into the morning, where the singer's longing for their partner intensifies, to the point where they begin to confuse their dreams with reality. The singer's desire for their partner is evident from the lyrics such as "you are in my head, swimming forever in my head, tangled in my dreams, swimming forever." The song's title, "Radio," is a metaphorical reference to the singer's longing for a return to experiences of the past, described in the lyrics "Remember where we used to go, all the songs we used to know," as they listen to the radio.
Overall, "Radio" is a reflection on loneliness, memories, and longing for the past. The Corrs use metaphors to paint a vivid thematic impression, coupled with music that captures the mood effectively.
