The Crash Lyrics

Where you waltzed into my arms
You seemed like the one I'd waited for
For a time we had a ball
I was sure we'd never fall
'Till you came by to see me one last time
These days gone for life
These days gone for life
These days were so beautiful
Please stay for tonight
Please save me tonight
So the days were falling down
as you moved from town to town
But you came by to see me one more time
You came by to see me one more time
These days gone for life
These days gone for life
These days were so beautiful
Please stay for tonight
Please save me tonight
Into your arms
For all the love you wanted
Down go the stars
You know when to stop
These days gone for life...
The Crash's song These Days is a beautiful, yet melancholic love song that tells the story of two people who met in a sordid bar and fell in love. The lyrics convey a sense of longing, pain, and hope as the singer reminisces about the days when he and his lover were happy together, but realizes that those days are now gone forever. Despite this realization, he begs his lover to stay with him for tonight and save him from his loneliness.
The first verse sets the stage for the story, describing how the two lovers met in a sordid bar and waltzed into each other's arms. The singer is immediately drawn to the other person and feels like he has finally found the one he has been waiting for. They spend a wonderful time together, and the singer is convinced that they will never fall apart. However, as the second verse begins, we realize that things have changed, and the two have separated. The days when they were happy are now gone forever, and the singer is left alone, wondering what went wrong.
Despite this, there is still hope that they can be together again if only for one more night. The chorus repeats the phrase "these days gone for life," emphasizing the idea that those happy times are now gone and cannot be retrieved. However, the singer still begs his lover to stay with him for tonight, hoping to recapture some of the love and joy they once shared. The verse "into your arms for all the love you wanted, down go the stars you know when to stop" signifies how the singer still needs the lover and how they shouldn't leave him in the dark.
