Boom
The Crystal Method (RMX) Lyrics

[Incomprehensible]
I never knew that a kid like me
Could take his mic around the world and flash the big S.D.
And rock the masses, from Madrid to Calabassas
Tijuana, Mexico, bootleg demos in Tokyo
Commit my life to rebirth, well respected, 'cause that's my word
I'm sure you heard, about a new sound going around
She might have left my hood but she was born in my town
You didn't know, thought we was new on the scene
Well, it's alright, it's alright
I know, you know, I see you smiling at me
Well, it's alright, it's alright
Boom, here comes the, boom
Ready or not, here comes the boys from the South
Boom, here comes the, boom
Ready or not, how you like me now? What say?
We rep. the South, so what you talking about
I'm not running off my mouth, I know this without a doubt
'Cause if you know these streets, then these streets know you
When it's time to handle business, then you know what to do
Me and my crew, we stay true, old skool or new
Many were called but the chosen are few
We rise to the top, what you want? Just in case you forgot
Rush the stage, grab my mic, show me what you got
You didn't know, thought we was new on the scene
Well, it's alright, it's alright
I know, you know, I see you smiling at me
Well, it's alright, it's alright
Boom, here comes the, boom
Ready or not, here comes the boys from the South
Boom, here comes the, boom
Ready or not, how you like me now? What say?
Boom, here comes the, boom
Ready or not, here comes the boys from the South
Boom, here comes the, boom
Ready or not, how you like me now?
Is that all you got?
I'll take your best shot
Is that all you got?
I'll take your best shot
Is that all you got?
I'll take your best shot
Is that all you got?
I'll take your best shot
Is that all you got?
I'll take your best shot
I'll take your best shot
I'll take your best shot
Is that all you got?
(Well, it's alright, it's alright)
I'll take your best shot
Is that all you got?
(Well, it's alright, it's alright)
I'll take your best shot
Is that all you got?
I'll take your best shot, best shot
(Well, it's alright, it's alright)
I'll take your best shot
Is that all you got?
I'll take your best shot, best shot
(Well, it's alright, it's alright)
I'll take your best shot

The lyrics of the song "Boom" are a boastful rap about the South and the group's success in the music industry. The rapper talks about how he, as a kid from the South, has been able to make it big in the music world by taking his mic around the globe and rocking the masses from Madrid to Calabasas. He talks about his dedication to his work and his life's rebirth, which has earned him respect in the industry. He also emphasizes that he and his crew stay true to the old school as well as the new school.
The rapper then goes on to say that he and his crew are from the South, and that if you know these streets, then these streets know you. He expresses his confidence that they will handle business when the time comes. They have risen to the top, and they are ready to perform for their fans. The chorus repeats the lines, "Boom, here comes the, boom, ready or not, here comes the boys from the South."
The song has an upbeat and energetic tone, highlighted by the repeated phrase, "Boom." The chorus is catchy, and the lyrics, although not overly complex, are easy to follow and repeat. The song was made popular by its use in sports events, movies, and TV shows.

This is a million times better than the original song.. TCM almost always manages to make a song BETTER with their remixes which is a rare thing, most remixes are just a different take but people say "this is good but the original is better", you honestly can't say that with this song it turns a boring, cliche radio rock song into something awesome.. same deal with a lot of others off the community service 1 & 2 albums.
