Da Doo Ron Ron
The Crystals Lyrics

I met him on a Monday and my heart stood still
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron
Somebody told me that his name was Bill
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron

Yes, my heart stood still
Yes, his name was Bill
And when he walked me home
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron
Knew what he was doing when he caught my eye
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron
He looked so quiet but my oh my
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron

Yes, he caught my eye
Yes, oh my, oh my
And when he walked me home
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron

Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron

He picked me up at seven and he looked so fine
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron
Someday soon I'm gonna make him mine
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron

Yes, he looked so fine
Yes, I'll make him mine
And when he walked me home
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron

Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
Da-do-ron-ron
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron
Da do ron-ron-ron, da do ron-ron

How can you not watch this from start to end with a huge smile on your face? True pioneers and real talented heroes these young ladies were. Just wonderful!

Still, at the age of 72, I remember this song being a huge part of my teenage years.
The joy of hearing it again has not diminished over the intervening years. It has just made me more appreciative of the music of the 60s.

@james carr Twisted Wheel was legendary. I live in the north-west of England, same as you.
