Dante was the sole multi-voiced singer on the original recording, but once the song charted, a group was created, comprised of Pat Rizzo (saxaphone), Rick Dimino (keyboards), Bob Gill (trumpet/flugelhorn/flute), Dave Lavender (guitar), Andrew "Junior" Denno (bass), Joe Cord (vocals) and Danny Valentine (drums). The group recorded a handful of further singles and two albums before disbanding in the early 1970s.
In 1999, because of the great interest in 1960s & 1970s music, lead singer Michael "Valentine" Ubriaco obtained the touring rights and revitalized the group. In February 2006, original Cuff Links guitarist Dave Lavender joined the current line-up.

Ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba, ba ba ba
Tracy, when I'm with you
Something you do
Bounces me off the ceiling
When you're this way
I get a lovin' feeling
Come with me
Don't say no (please don't say no)
Hold me close (and hold me close)
Tracy never let go
Tracy, you're gonna be (Tracy, I love you so)
Happy with me
I'll build a world around you
Filled with love everywhere (Tracy, oh please don't go)
And when you're there
You'll be so glad I found you
Come with me
Don't say no (please don't say no)
Hold me close (and hold me close)
Tracy, never, never, ever let me go
Ba ba, ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba, ba ba ba
Ba ba, ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba, ba ba ba
Come with me
Don't say no (please don't say no)
Hold me close
Tracy, never, never, ever let me go
Ba ba, ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba, ba ba ba

The Cuff Links's song "Tracy" is a love song that expresses the singer's deep affection for a woman named Tracy. The song features repetitive lyrics that are simple but effective in conveying the message of love. The first verse describes how being with Tracy makes the singer feel, stating that something she does "bounces [him] off the ceiling." The second verse expresses how being with Tracy day after day, when she is herself, makes the singer feel a "loving feeling." The chorus makes a plea to Tracy to come with the singer and never let go, stating that he will build a world filled with love around her, and that she will be happy with him.
The song has an energetic and upbeat melody, with a jaunty beat that mirrors the singer's joyful feelings about Tracy. The repetitive "ba ba" backing vocals and guitar riffs give the song a catchy quality that makes it easy to sing along to. The simplicity of the lyrics adds to the song's charm, as it feels like a genuine expression of the singer's emotions.
Overall, "Tracy" is a classic love song that captures the feeling of falling in love and wanting to be with someone forever. It's a testament to the power of simple lyrics and catchy melodies in communicating deep emotions in a way that is accessible to all listeners.
