Rizzo had recruited songwriters Paul Vance and Lee Pockriss, who had previously composed hits for Perry Como ("Catch A Falling Star") and Brian Hyland ("Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polkadot Bikini"). The songwriting duo came up with the catchy, bubblegum singalong "Tracy", which became an international hit.
Dante was the sole multi-voiced singer on the original recording, but once the song charted, a group was created, comprised of Pat Rizzo (saxaphone), Rick Dimino (keyboards), Bob Gill (trumpet/flugelhorn/flute), Dave Lavender (guitar), Andrew "Junior" Denno (bass), Joe Cord (vocals) and Danny Valentine (drums). The group recorded a handful of further singles and two albums before disbanding in the early 1970s.
In 1999, because of the great interest in 1960s & 1970s music, lead singer Michael "Valentine" Ubriaco obtained the touring rights and revitalized the group. In February 2006, original Cuff Links guitarist Dave Lavender joined the current line-up.

This was one of the first records I ever bought in 1969. I loved this "b" side...played it many times on a Saturday when all my friends were busy doing something else. I was only 13 at the time. Brings back a lot of great memories.
@trailboyus66
Yes I am one of those people who flipped the record over and heard this song. One of the saddest songs I have ever heard. I think allot of people can relate to this song. Back then you could just go home and look forward to a better tomorrow. Today many from our generation can't go home; because their family have passed on. One day we will all pass away and go on home. I believe we will find more love and understanding than we can imagine.
@Langdellj
The "B' side of alot of records were really very good songs,this one included!!
@tinaduell

@geowyn
One of the things I miss about 45s is the physical turning over of the record to hear the B side. I absolutely love this, thanks for posting.
@paulrawes
This is much better track than the a side. Tracey!

I am another one who always checked out the b side and very often, that side ended up my favorite! Yes, a very sad song
@oldgamma19
My first single purchase, after I built my own record player and amp.
@DELIASE1
Often the B sides were as good if not better than the main sides
