(1) The Darling … Read Full Bio ↴There are two bands with the name The Darling Buds:
(1) The Darling Buds were an indie band from Caerleon near Newport, Wales. The band were formed in 1986 and took their name from a British novel called The Darling Buds of May.
(2) A British band, fronted by actor Jamie Campbell Bower whose music is Alternative Indie Rock.
(1) Influenced by the catchy simpler sound of the early Beatles, the band created very melodic hook driven short duration singles. They were considered part of the short lived "Blonde" movement(bands that were fronted by blondes with the band members dressed in black) along with the like of The Primitives but also referenced the C86 scene of a few years earlier.
Whilst the band were not hugely successful, they did manage to score a number of notable hits in their native UK and managed to release three full length albums as listed below:
Pop Said - Epic 1988
Crawdaddy - Epic 1990
Erotica - Epic 1992
They also released numerous 7" & 12" vinyl/cd singles. The release of their 1992 cd caused some minor controversy when it was released several months prior to Madonna's cd of the same title. For more information go to:

(2) The Darling Buds featuring the British actor Jamie Campbell Bower have not been that popular, playing in a few gigs - this could be because Jamie Campbell Bower's acting career has set up with him appearing in major films like "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber On Fleet Street" and "The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones". They have release two known songs 'It's Amazing' and 'Alone Is No Together'.
One Thing Leads to Another

sheer love, still soldier on
oh i don't need to be saved
watch me ride the waves as
one thing leads to another
the time flies by
leaves me wanting more
fills the room till i'm satisfied
i feel so cold as the winter sets in
as the winter sets in
and as one thing leads to another
the time flies by
swim me in, head and heart
all desires oceans apart
when i fall from your skies
watch me learn to fly as
one thing leads to another
the time flies by
ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh-ooh ooh
The Darling Buds’s song One Thing Leads to Another is a melodious and catchy pop/rock song that describes the power of love and its ability to change one's life. The first stanza, "I fell on my knees into the sun, sheer love, still soldier on, Oh I don't need to be saved, watch me ride the waves as one thing leads to another, the time flies by", can be interpreted as a metaphor for falling in love. The sun might represent the warmth and happiness that love brings, and the act of falling suggests a sudden and unexpected change in the singer's life. The phrase "sheer love" suggests that the singer is overwhelmed by the depth of their feelings. The following lines, "still soldier on, Oh I don't need to be saved, watch me ride the waves", describe the singer's determination to keep going and their confidence in their ability to navigate this new chapter in their life. The final line, "as one thing leads to another, the time flies by", suggests that the singer is enjoying this new experience and is excited to see where it will take them.
The next stanza, "day comes through, through the door, leaves me wanting more, fills the room till I'm satisfied, I feel so cold as the winter sets in, as the winter sets in", continues the theme of love and its transformative power. The "day comes through, through the door," might represent how love can unexpectedly enter one's life, while the singer's desire for more suggests that they have been deeply impacted by this experience. The phrase "fills the room till I'm satisfied" probably represents how love can change one's emotional state and make them feel complete. However, the last two lines of this stanza, "I feel so cold as the winter sets in", suggest that the singer fears losing this newfound sense of warmth and happiness.
The final stanza, "swim me in, head and heart, all desires oceans apart, when I fall from your skies, watch me learn to fly as one thing leads to another, the time flies by", reflects the singer's newfound willingness to take risks in love. The imagery of the singer swimming suggests a sense of fluidity and ease, while the phrase "head and heart, all desires oceans apart" can be interpreted as a metaphor for the complexity of love. The next line, "when I fall from your skies, watch me learn to fly as one thing leads to another, the time flies by", suggests that the singer is willing to take chances and learn from their experiences, even if it means falling occasionally. Overall, the song's lyrics celebrate the transformative power of love and encourage listeners to seize opportunities and enjoy life.
