The issues stemmed from the animals' relationship with the farmer

And they all came to one conclusion
The animals finally agreed on one thing

They argued there was no way they'd ever be free
The animals believed that they would never be truly free

If it was up to humans
They believed that humans were the cause of their lack of freedom

Therefore the only course left was revolution
The animals decided that the only option was to revolt against the farmer

The decision to revolt was justifiable

And since the pigs promised to lead in the interest of all the animals
The pigs were chosen to lead the revolution as they promised to act in the interest of all animals

They planned a full attack under the leadership of Hannibal
The animals planned to attack the farmer's property under Hannibal's leadership

The next morning on the farm, everything was calm

They took his tongue out of his mouth
The animals punished Hannibal by removing his tongue

And cut his body up for sale, for real
They also sold his body for meat
