I still have this classic album. I was so glad when the finally brought out all their music on CD!

Me too. :-)

I had this record, plus Copperfields. Wow, what memories, haven't heard this song in forty years, not since I sang it at an open mike at a cafe in Mt. Tam, California. I could even sing along with it just now, all this time later. Neat!

The Dillards are so good they're supernatural.

Paul Thomas Butterfield

The best cover of this song by The Dillard's, along with their "I'll fly away" - I bought this album in the early 70's to learn their Bluegrass banjo tunes, so I just might be biased.

Gram Parson nonsense! Are you serious? He did as much as anyone to bring country music to the mainstream, and he was great friends with the Dillard's along with that other ex Byrd Gene Clarke who recorded with Doug, but you probably think that's nonsense also. I don't understand people being negative about something as wonderful as music, whether it be The Dillards or The Byrds. Gram was sincere in his deep love of country music, and his conviction never strayed far. Your loss...

I really love this song - great country music from the sixties on Elektra label

My favorite urban bluegrass band of all time with the Greenbriar Boys a close second. Love this song. Still have all their records and I saw them perform live at the Huck Finn Bluegrass and Folk Festival one year. They were simply awesome and who can forget their appearances on the Andy Griffith Show with Denver Pyle as old man Darling. Classic!
