The band first appeared under the name THE DISASTER AREA in 2012 and their musical goal that was outlined with the debut ‘Sell Your Soul’ (Deafground Records) in 2016. In 2018 the band made some of the biggest steps in their career by signing to REDFIELD RECORDS and releasing their acclaimed second album “Alpha//Omega” in November of the same year. Sold out release shows as well as more than 2,000,000 streams of the album are only some of the successes that should be mentioned.
In December 2019, THE DISASTER AREA supported ESKIMO CALLBOY on their career’s biggest run of shows through 15 European cities, attended by more than 20,000 people. Right after that, in January 2020, THE DISASTER AREA took the role of the main support on TO THE RATS AND WOLVES’ farewell tour throughout Germany.
What THE DISASTER AREA defines, aside from their music, is the close relationship to their fans and that both sides take part in each other’s lives. Theis latest single ‘Glasshearts’, produced by Romesh Dodangoda who was also responsible for BRING ME THE HORIZON’s latest album, is a declaration of love by THE DISASTER AREA to their fans and presents the band’s new musical approach. Metalcore mixes with electronic elements and surprisingly matured alternative rock.
