Dead Cats%2C Dead Rats
The Doors Lyrics

Dead cats, dead rats
Can't see what they were at, all right
Dead cat in a top hat, wow
Sucking on the young man's blood
Wishing he could come, yeah
Sucking on the soldier's brain
Wishing it would be the same

Dead cat, dead rat
Can't you see what they were at?
Fat cat in a top hat
Thinks he's an aristocrat
Thinks he can kill and slaughter
Thinks he can shoot my daughter

Yeah right! Oh yeah!
Oh right! Yeeah!

Dead cats, dead rats
Think they're an aristocrat
Crap, now that's crap!

After thousands hours listening my favorite band, I will say that is probably one of the best album not only for the band, but one of the best in history of rock music...

@JohnnyangelNIU

While I agree in principle man, the way this live album was crafted in many regards is both very deceptive and uncalled for. Not saying the songs don’t sound great, but I don’t think any of them were truly live in one take (or even from one show). If I remember the liner notes correctly, anyone particular song might actually be put together from parts of that song over eight or nine shows on this tour. Why that was done – I have no idea. Were ALL the shows that bad where entire takes couldn’t be recorded and put a on tape for a future live album and just cleaned up a little in the studio? It’s very confusing and angers me - It might sound weird but how many great live albums do we all know that weren’t truly live, but even all of those have nothing on the piece-meal effects of this masterpiece. Jim and the doors just deserved much better.

You relize this album as all the Doors was released over 50 years ago. Big difference between editing music then and Now
Still Great

@@JohnnyangelNIU Most bands do this. I remember when Journey Captured came out, how clean it was. Well, that was a franken-record as well, you can even hear a major cut during Wheel in the Sky. Many bands such as Bob Seagar & Rush were talked into this nonsense which most of the time is unnecessary, but management wants "prefection" so they pull this crap. I much prefer a good bootleg, warts and all over these fake live releases. Overproduction ruins the feel...no warmth.

I’m 60 now, and have been into rock music all my life. Without ant doubt the Doors are the best band of all time. Pure genius!

@blue-fj9ky

I'm 70. I saw them live in 1967. I saw almost every other 60s band. They were the best!

@historicalhollywood

They rule

@bobrose1320

Morrison was way ahead of his time a lyrical genius
