People Are Strange
The Doors Lyrics
People are strange
When you're a stranger
Faces look ugly
When you're alone
Women seem wicked
When you're unwanted
Streets are uneven
When you're down
When you're strange
When you're strange
No one remembers your name
When you're strange
When you're strange
When you're strange
People are strange
When you're a stranger
Faces look ugly
When you're alone
Women seem wicked
When you're unwanted
Streets are uneven
When you're down
When you're strange
Faces come out of the rain
When you're strange
No one remembers your name
When you're strange
When you're strange
When you're strange
All right, yeah!
When you're strange
Faces come out of the rain
When you're strange
No one remembers your name
When you're strange
When you're strange
When you're strange

The Doors were a military intelligence operation. Jim Morrison's dad was the US Naval Admiral in charge of the fleet that included that vessel that faked the Gulf of Tonkin attack. The Lizard King supposedly wrote all of the songs he ever wrote for the doors in one fell swoop, on an island or some bullshit, and that was it. He couldn't read music, play an instrument, and wasn't particularly interested in music even as a fan, prior to being recruited into the Doors psyop.
Your mystical worship of The Doors is exactly the intended outcome. I could never understand, growing up, why anyone would be a fan of The Dorks full stop, let alone how they could end up anyone's favourite band...with all the alternatives (including self-inflicted permanent deafness via hot oil, acid etc).
Duh Doors have since been surpassed in terms of awfulness by e.g. the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Aerosmith, U2, The Boomtown Rats, Lady Gaga and all the rest of that pop rubbish like Britney etc. I'd put them on a level with Milli Vanilli. The Corrs > The Doors of course of course.
Credit where it's due, however: The Dwarves weren't on the same sub-level of Hades as the CIA's backbone distribution vector for getting Swiss acid into the nervous systems of kids, loons, and hippies, AKA The Grateful Dead (if only). Jerry GarCIA's name was a bit of a giveaway, but only to the compos mentos of course (Dorks fans need not apply).
Hope this helps.
Yours Omnibenevolently,
Gautama Buddha
PS: This song is actually a groover, to be
honestkarmic (you better not tell anyone I said that, or your next incarnation will be Anthony "Sleeveless Adidas" Kiedis's step love-child by way of Cher)Megan Dunevant

There are no words to express how I feel while listening to the Doors music. It is a mystical, outerworldly experience and Jim Morrison inspires me. There was never a band like them before, and never after... It reunites us people because we like the same thing, and it's really special compared to a lot of other fandoms. The Doors are forever.

The Doors were very unique. They were all excellent musicians and a lead singer who was a talented poet with a great voice. It was a shame that Jim was so self destructive.
