Hot Pants In The Summertime
The Dramatics Lyrics

In the summertime (so hot)
In the summertime (come over here)
In the summertime (put a little mo' ice in my glass)
In the summertime (smokin')
Sure is hot out here in the sun, man
The Weatherman said 99 in the shade, man
Ah, dig it now, lookie there, do you see what I see?
Am I seein' things, or am I goin' outta my head?

Hey there girl (hey there)
You sho' look good in your hot pants, hot pants, hot pants, hot pants
Hey there girl (hey there)
You sho' look good in your hot pants, hot pants, hot pants, hot pants

In the summertime (hot)
In the summertime (hey)

Sunshine, summertime in a groove, man (yeah)
Sittin' back watchin' the girls go by (go by, go by)
Outta school, ain't it cool? Havin' big fun
Look look, look-a-there (lookie there) here comes another one
(There goes another one yeah yeah yeah)

Hey there girl (hey there)
You sho' look good in your hot pants, hot pants, hot pants, hot pants
Hey there girl (hey there)
You sho' look good in your hot pants, hot pants, hot pants, hot pants

In the summertime (sure look good in your hot pants)
In the summertime (sure look good in your hot pants)
In the summertime (sure look good in your hot pants)
In the summertime

(Man, oh man, it's hot out here)

In the summertime (sure look good in your hot pants)
In the summertime (sure look good in your hot pants)
In the summertime (sure look good in your hot pants)
In the summertime (sure look good in your hot pants)
In the summertime
Hot legs! (I said you're sure lookin' good now)
I said a thick-legged woman (sure look good in your hot pants)
I said you sho' lookin' good now (sure look good in your hot pants)
The way you switch (sure look good in your hot pants)
I say you sho' lookin' good now (sure look good in your hot pants)
A thick-legged woman (sure look good in your hot pants)
Said you're sho' lookin' good now (sure look good in your hot pants)

Roll Call: ChiLites,Whispers,Temptations,Dells,Del Fonics,Four Tops,Detroit Emeralds,Main Ingredient, Jacksons and the ever lovin Dramatics just to name a few. What an era!! They had the moves as well as the chops. Will we ever see the like again? I agree justafu. Probably their best album. Funny. It was written & produced by Tony Hester and every song is a gem. He had some credits on the next album and seemed to disappear from The Dramatics lexicon afterwards. Strange when hitmakers disappear.

Jack Morrow

William "Wee Gee" Howard is the one who sounds like David Ruffin. Hes' a second tenor/bariotone. Ron Banks is the one who sung falsetto in the group. He sings lead on Hey You Get Off My Mountain. He's the one who sing's "And you laugh in my face/make feel like a clown/Baby I think I better put you in your place".
