Run Rudolph Run
The Drifters Lyrics

Everybody knows what you've done
And still you need to run
Footsteps behind you

follow you home
He knows you're Alone
Hold on to your Nightmare

The day will turn
When you're getting warm
He'll start to burn

Run on Run on
No one will lend you a hand
Run Stranger Run
Don't wait until the End

Caught alone in the night
With the dogs of war
Still you give it away
When you turn your back and run

Out of sight
feel the fright
of your Nightmare...

It follows you home
He's got you close
Cry out!

Run on Run on
There's no need to pretend
Run Stranger Run

Don't wait until the End
No!
You run away but the stranger meets you there

Dust your tracks
you fall to his prey Unaware, as he greets your stare
Ascribed to Devil's hand
End to End He who turned the dawn
Crossed all behind you
Locked in your home
You're Never Alone
Hold on to your Nightmare

The day will turn
When you're getting warm
He'll start to burn

Run on Run on
No one will lend you a hand
Run Stranger Run
Don't wait until the End

on Like Sister Like Brother

I think the line ‘Until I let you go, is actually ‘Until he lets you go’ which implies that she is possibly married to someone else. This would make sense about why the singer and her have to keep their relationship secret. That’s how I’ve always viewed this great song
