I'll Make You Happy
The Easybeats Lyrics

I
I give
I give you
I give you love

Give you lovin' all the time
Give you kissin' just like wine
Does his lip taste sweeter than mine
No (no)
No (no)
No!

I'll make you happy
Just like your Mama wants
I'll make you happy
Just like your Daddy said
I'll make you happy
Just like your Mama says to me

If
If you
If you don't
If you don't think

If you don't think I'm your man
Find somebody if you can
Ask him then to hold your hand
Not me (me)
Me (me)
Me!

I'll make you happy
Just like your Mama wants
I'll make you happy
Just like your Daddy said
I'll make you happy
Just like your Mama said to me

I
I give
I give you
I give you love

Give you lovin' all the time
Give you kisses just like wine
Does his lip taste sweeter than mine
No (no)
No (no)
No!

I'll make you happy
Just like your Mama wants
I'll make you happy
Just like your Daddy said
I'll make you happy
Just like your Mama said to me

I'll make you happy
Just like your Mama wants
I'll make you happy
Just like your Daddy said
I'll make you happy
Just like your Mama says to me

I grew up watching this fabulous music of the Easybeats. People do not realise how big this band was here in Australia! Fabulous musicians.

John Lenkes

Wow, this song really kicks ass! It ranks up there with the Beatles and Rolling Stones. All that talent and the Easybeats were barely known in the U.S. A very highly underrated rock group.

Easybeats sort of had the British Invasion sound, but with a harder edge, particularly the early Wright/Young songs like this one, Sorry, Wedding Ring etc. you won’t hear anything this hard-edged from Gerry and the Pacemakers or Dave Clarke Five! The Vanda/Young era was more sophisticated but also more pop-style for the Easybeats.

Gary Marquett

If my memory is right I think Mick Jagger said the EBs were a better band then the Stones 👍😃

..........The Seekers were the darling band of the Brits . Then came the Bee Gees also from Australia who were also a more mellow music group and soon adopted back into the British fold as repatriated Brits. It looks like at that time that rock n roll was still mainly uncouth in Britain for the many . I was influenced by the uncouth stigma too as a young teen, the only decent music was of course classical . Gotta say I was impressed with the Bee Gees , they would often be in the smoking room of the ship in the evenings listening to classical music that was available for us passenger's if we wished . my understanding is that the Easybeats arrived in Britain about five months after the Bee Gees , but they might also have been there earlier occasion too . Air travel wasn't cheap but sea travel was ...

Mike P they had more raw energy than the stones, and I’ll stand with that till I die, even if I love the stones
