How many times have we Doo Wop lovers heard it? And yet still it promotes unalloyed enjoyment. Aside from the immaculate sax break, I'm always impressed by the arrangement's 'dead' finish, when they could so easily have chosen the lazy route and just faded.

Best known for this song, the Edsels were a tremendous group. They recorded other tunes that were a lot better. They were from Campbell, Ohio.

Have two copies of the alternate take on this on Dub. Don't know why as I got them back in '61. One for myself and one for my brother. This is the hit version we know from radio but the alternate version is grear too albeit with a misfire on drums in the clear out after the bridge.

In the 1980s Rocky Sharpe and the Replays did a cover of this in the UK, which is how I'm familiar with it. It had the gimmick on the video and Top of the Pops performances that the lead singer wore dark RayBan sunglasses which he removed part-way throug the song - to reveal another pair underneath.

@Pablo DG . I agree with you I'm from this Era. What is the sense of many of the Millennials commenting on how Baby Boomers feels about our Music and our Era.. We know that their are other options of music in 2020 all most Boomers are commenting on the music and what great times we had without all the violence etc.
Many of us who enjoy this music are their Grandparents age which one would think that they would show Respect without bullying and harassment. If Boomers don't care for the music of 2020 that's our Prerogative.

They were from Campbell, Ohio and were the Temptations of the time. I watched them perform at an assembly in 1958 at Campbell Memorial High School. I still talk about that performance like it was yesterday. I am from Campbell and 74 years old. Oh, Jim "pee wee" Reynolds is the only member still alive.
