1. Based in Brooklyn, New York, The Eggs sound both ethereal and playfully discordant -- their unique musicality owing just as much to influences like Battles and Radiohead as they do to Debussy, John Williams and Miles Davis. The Eggs' arrangements possess a narrative and cinematic quality that echoes throughout curiously unexpected chord changes, intricate rythmic textures, and melodic interplay between violin and vocals. Their fully mastered EP Patterns was released in October 2012.

Walking Away
The Eggs Lyrics

Feeling strange
Get on
And get it wrong
I feel
On the windowsill
Look through
I walk alone
Fall down to me
You stand and watch
Falling down
And I'm always walking, always walking away
Away
Unreal
Street seal
Sideways
To what you mean
Feel right
And so do you
We walk along
Then we get it wrong
I walk alone
Fall down to me
You stand and watch
Falling down
And I'm always walking, always walking away
Away
The lyrics to The Eggs' song "Walking Away" are clearly about a feeling of detachment or disconnect from others. The singer seems to be struggling with the idea of getting it wrong and feeling strange when he is around others. He feels as if he is walking alone most of the time, even when he is with other people. The line "I'm always walking away" suggests that the singer may be someone who has difficulty forming close relationships with others or may be unable to maintain them. The line "Fall down to me" suggests that the singer is trying to reach out to others, but that he is unable to make a connection.
The phrase "get it wrong" in the lyrics may refer to the singer's feelings of inadequacy or insecurity. The sense of being strange may indicate that the singer feels like an outsider, someone who doesn't fit in with others. The line "As time stands still" may suggest the feeling of being stuck or trapped in a situation that he cannot change.
The chorus of the song, "And I'm always walking, always walking away," may indicate that the singer has a tendency to retreat from situations that are uncomfortable or difficult. This may be related to his feelings of insecurity or his inability to connect with others.
Overall, "Walking Away" is a song that explores themes of disconnection, insecurity, and the struggle to form meaningful relationships with others.
