Their second album, Grand Hotel, released in early 2012, moved them out of Beach Boys sound-alike status and married their surf sounds with a playful/respectful homage to legends like Burt Bacharach, Neil Diamond and The Grass Roots.
A third album, Together, was issued in 2015 and continued to deliver a "firmly rooted in the styles of the late 60's/early 70's.
In 2019, band leader Jason Brewer issued a cover of the Scott Walker classic, "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore," and announced the forthcoming release of two albums worth of material in early 2020, one being a "covers" album and the other being all original new music..

Weight of the World
The Explorers Club Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Get away
Will be free
For a day
When the weight of the world brings you down
The take of break from the world
And it's ups and downs
Take my hand
No you.
He can dance
We can fly
When the weight of the world brings you down
The take of break from the world
And it's ups and downs
When the weight of the world brings you down
And your place in the world can be found
Take a break from the world
And it's ups and downs
The song "Weight of the World" by The Explorers Club seems to be about taking a break from the stresses and burdens of daily life. The lyrics suggest that sometimes, one needs to get away from it all and just be free for a day. The singer encourages someone to come along with them and take their hand as they dance and fly away from the weight of the world. The repetition of the lines "When the weight of the world brings you down" and "Take a break from the world and its ups and downs" drive home the message that sometimes it's necessary to disconnect from the pressures of life in order to find oneself and regain perspective.
The song is an appealing call to escape from the mundane responsibilities and pressures of life. It's also an invitation to embrace the joys of spontaneity and adventure. It suggests that we shouldn't be weighed down by the world's expectations and struggles, but should instead take control of our lives and enjoy the journey. Overall, the lyrics of "Weight of the World" by The Explorers Club impart a simple lesson: take a break, let loose, and live in the moment.

these guys remind me of alot of folk! Fifth dimension, ventures, fairport convention, Brasil 66. The new album sounds like Neil Diamond, too! Hats off Club- you got it.

The slide guitar is awesome - but not included on the CD - and the version advertised on Amazon is no longer available. #Firstworldproblem

Does the intro remind anyone but me of "Nights Are Forever Without You" by England Dan and John Ford Coley?

These guys rocked all on their own; they are not a Beach Boys clone
group or a BB tribute band. Check out their two albums. Too bad they
split up in 2013; however, a revamped lineup has plans to release a new
album in 2016.
