Their style has mixed Texas blues with the harmonica-laced swamp blues sounds of the likes of Slim Harpo and Lazy Lester, both of whom the T-Birds have covered. Their third album, 1981's 'Butt Rockin'', took the band closer to classic rhythm and blues while featuring added piano and brass section sounds played by additional musicians. The band broke into the mainstream in 1986 with their album 'Tuff Enuff'. The single of the same name was featured in the Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster film 'Tough Guys' alongside their follow-up single, which they titled "Wrap It Up". A lively, powerful tune, "Tuff Enuff" has been played frequently over the years on many rock n roll stations. The band's music was also played in John Cusack's 1987 movie 'Hot Pursuit'.
The Fabulous Thunderbirds' next album, titled 'Hot Number', fell off the charts quickly and alienated many of the bands' long-time fans due to its slick, pop-oriented sound. The band then began a long series of line-up changes and obscure, yet somewhat improved, albums throughout the 90s. Drummer Mike Buck left the band in 1980, and guitarist Jimmie Vaughan left in 1990. More recently, the group has had line-up made up of original member Kim Wilson alongside guitarist/vocals Nick Curran, guitarist Kirk Flecther, Jimi Bott on drums, Ronnie James Weber on bass, and former Canned Heat member Gene Taylor on keyboards.

Look At That Look At That
The Fabulous Thunderbirds Lyrics

Lookin real cool and dressed just right
Saved my money every week
Just could not spend it on those fine chicks
(Got) Gotta my car and (walked) in the door
You know (just) what I was lookin' for
Look at that blonde in the redskin tights
A fine, fine thing in a short short skirt
She ain't attached and she likes to flirt
A whole lotta woman is where it's at
Hey now boys will you just look at that
I don't know which way to turn
Every way I look my eyeballs burn
Short gals, tall gals skinny and fat
Look at that, look at that, look at that, look at that
See them twins in fishnet hose
I'll take either one or both of those
Sally over there still long and lean
She's got the key to my lovin' machine
All these girls are lookin' just right
At a hip-shakin' party on a Saturday night
The Fabulous Thunderbirds's song "Look At That Look At That" is a playful and upbeat ode to the thrill of checking out attractive people at a party. The lyrics describe a scene of excitement and indecision as the singer tries to take in all the beautiful women around him. He's dressed to impress and ready to have a good time, but he's having trouble focusing on any one person because everyone looks so good. He warns his friends not to go for a particular girl because she's trouble, but otherwise he's open to all possibilities. The song captures the joy and freedom of youthful exuberance and the thrill of finding that special someone in a crowd.
The lyrics use a lot of hyperbole and exaggeration to emphasize the beauty of the women at the party. They describe women in tight redskin tights, short skirts, fishnet hose, and all sorts of other sexy clothing. The song celebrates the diversity of beauty and attraction, with lyrics describing short and tall women, skinny and fat ones, and even twins. The repetition of the phrase "look at that" creates a sense of excitement and energy, as if the singer is continually discovering something new and thrilling.
Overall, "Look At That Look At That" is a fun and lighthearted song that celebrates the beauty and joy of human connection. It's a reminder to appreciate the people around us and to never be afraid to put ourselves out there and take a chance on love.
