Reading skills. You need to learn them. I never even mentioned the idea of making music for money alone. You shoved these words into my mouth for no good reason. Also, I never mentioned that you have to use the same formula every time, nor did Graham.

Again, you missed the point. This is not about whether or not music inspires you or not. A song can be great and inspiring in content, but very lacking in presentation. This is where music production comes in, and it has nothing to do with those ideas you mentioned about using "the same formula all the time".

It seems that you cannot read. I never said the following:

'... And it seems like a weird statement from you, saying "to make a livng of music, you HAVE to use this old formular for every song".'

I'm not sure where you got that idea from, because I never mentioned it in the first place. In fact, I mention the exact opposite. It was actually you who brought up the idea of using the same formula everywhere, so please keep that in mind as you write your responses. Also, please mind your spelling. It's called a "formula", not a "formular".

What this video is about, is about sweetening. Graham doesn't mention that he does this with every song, and he doesn't mention that he does it to the same degree in every song either. I'm not sure where you keep getting these ideas from, because you're making them all up! You mention that it seems like he uses this exact formula all the time, but that only shows that you've only watched one or two videos from this guy (or at least didn't pay attention to most of them). It also shows that you know very little about music production. For me, and a lot of other more informed folks, it is implied that every case is to be treated as a new one, and that there is no magic pill. Graham knows this very well. He only presents this in this video in a very concrete manner because that conveys a clear message. He is showing us an example; not an exact formula.

If all you got from this is that you have to follow this one exact formula, you missed the entire point of not only this video, or of the videos on this channel, but of all the good music production videos on YouTube.

This isn't just mixing or engineering... it's producing. That's what I love about writing and recording music. From the first strum to the final stereo buss compression, it's all about building something that will keep others hooked. Good, SIMPLE tips Graham.

This is one by far one of the best things to do to enhance a track and keep the listener interested.
a good example of this is Mother by Pink Floyd. Listen to how it grows as more layers are added as the song progresses which is key here, in my opinion, in keeping you engaged in the track.
Great stuff as always, Graham!

I appreciate what you do! I'm starting out down here in my home in Ellenton and every question I've come up with, you've covered!
You rock, brother!
God bless!

Just love that guitar strum at the start of the first chorus! Very cool tone.

"This is Love!" Sweet. And indeed it is! Looking forward to hearing the full tune  seeing the videos and stuff that are coming! :-)

Awesome tip Graham - this is something I always try doing as well.  Finding out how the song can hold my interest by making subtle changes in the arrangement.  Excellent!  Really nice sounding track too.

Once again the simple answer to something I was struggling with. Thanks for all the good advice.

Wicked mix! I'm impressed with this! Very evolved from what your original material sounded like a couple of years ago!

Thank you! This tip is very helpful we often forget that the listener doesn't have an attachment with the music we create and the only way to keep the engaged is to improve our mixes like you have demonstrated!!

This song will always have a special place in my heart. Certainly part of my all-time Top 10.

I've binge-watched a whole load of these videos now, and got to say: great job Graham!
