The twinkling lights in the night sky were so mesmerizing that I couldn't take my eyes off them

Got the urge to leave but the world said stay
Despite feeling a desire to depart from my current location, I sensed that there was something that wanted me to remain

They're waiting for me, but I just don't care
There may be people or tasks waiting for me elsewhere, but in that moment, I simply didn't care enough to leave

Look at the world and how it's so unfair
Upon gazing at the world around me, it became apparent that it is unequal and unjust

It was getting late now, maybe I should go
As time passed, I realized it was getting late and began considering leaving my current location

However, the sight of someone (possibly a romantic interest) in front of me was so captivating that it was difficult to leave

The person in front of me was crying and I was able to witness their tears
