1. The Farm are an alternative rock band which formed in Liverpool, England in 1984 and now continue to tour both as The Farm, and as part of The Justice Tonight band. Their album Spartacus stormed to number one in the UK albums chart when it was released in April 1991. The band are seen to be influenced by the Madchester movement, although they had existed for several years before the creation of the genre. The band split in 1996 and reunited in 2004

SUCH a pertinent message. We are retired military God fearing, scripture following family. 5yrs ago left Florida, moved to the Appalachian foot hills......and home steaded. NEVER looked back. My wife is from Venezuela, I from Alaska. SO different in culture but so the same in the LOVE and UNDERSTANDING of our Father and His word. In this country, "the church" does not have this "sense of urgency" to prepare it's flocks to be the Church of the last days. No doubt, we are on the cusp of "those days".

I’m waiting until my husband says go for us to move out of the city - my son enters his senior year of HS this fall and we didn’t start following Torah until about 1.5 yrs ago, so my son was much older. I’m praying my husband is just waiting til he graduates and then we can find a piece of land for us to go too. I’m tired of the city and all it has - I’ve never liked big cities, where we live is a medium city, but it’s still the city and I want out. Thanks for sharing this - we have started growing herbs and we will be adding more as we can - I want to be full sustainable by what we grow and I know we can start now before we leave the city.

This is what I wish I could be doing from years ago. I'm so poor and I live in a trailer park and I can hardly afford where I'm living now and this is one of the cheapest place available and I'm also on SSI because I'm disabled and I can't work. I'm not against someone being a homesteader if they choose to, but the homesteader zealots need to stop trying to coerce ppl into moving out of the city. You're taking His words completely out of context, because the prepper in His Luk.12:13-21 parable hoarded food and still died. Jesus' words in 12:47 have nothing to do with hoarding food and more to do with being spiritually prepared for His Return.

Proverbs 27:12 "A clever man foresees calamity, hides himself; The simple shall go on, they are punished." Whether Monsanto is growing corn or wheat, or a man like Zach is, we all know that neither can grow anything without YAH's earth, HIS sun, HIS water, HIS grains/seeds, etc. YAH is mankind's provider and mankind's supplier. Quite literally. As King David said when he was building a House for YAH "All comes from You and we have given to You out of Your hand". YAH is the one giving man, whether on a large scale or not, the seeds to plant, etc. All HIS. Plus, that blanket you have and those cushions, couch, mattress, clothing, chairs you sit on, the island you serve food on, that roof on your house, brick, wood, glass, iron, bronze, your pots, and pans, utensils, gold, silver, etc., are all YAH's materials. Without YAH, mankind literally has nothing, nada, zip. It's HIS waters that are filled with fish that give fishermen their jobs. YAH is man's employer! HIS flowers give flower shop owners a business/job. If YAH took away what HE gives to man and gives to man for free, then man would die. Now, let's talk about Joseph who stored up grains when YAH gave Joseph wisdom to interpret Pharaoh's dream. Joseph knew to store up grains for the upcoming seven-year famine. Whose grains did Joseph store up? YAH's!! If a person wants to continue to trust in and believe in their mind control government, let them. I however trust in YAH and storing grains is not distrust in HIM but rather heeding HIS word and understanding previous events that took place and learning from them. HIS Word is our guidebook. Instructions on how to live. Having a homestead was once something we all had and whatever our homestead didn't have or grow, we likely bartered with the neighbor (ex: some pomegranates from me and my homestead in exchange for olives from the neighbor's homestead). YAH is man's provider. Without HIM, we all have nothing. Without HIM, we are all nothing. Praise YAH!

As a homesteader… the Father has called us to sell (right now). Which seems backwards, but, HE called us to do it. We are being obedient to that. Often homesteaders CAN be reliant on their works and it can become an idol. Not everyone is called to homestead. For a season, we’ve been called out. What’s next. We don’t know. The bottom line, we have to be willing to listen to HIS voice, even when it seems counterintuitive.

Just like in the days of Noah, man's sin is finding him out. The Creator set the mechanics of obedience and sin in place at the casting out of Eden. Mankind is again corrupting the new earth that was set up after the flood. And our rejection of Yahovah's good laws is the cause of what is taking place on earth. Only the timely signs in the heavens are not under our control or affected by our sinful influence. Those things were of old.
This is probably my favorite faith video to date. It made me wonder exactly what Messiah DID DO for a daily task. Abel found respect in the eyes of the Creator as he was a herdsman. Cain did NOT have the Creator's respect because his agricultural offering was not acceptable. But there was also masonry work in the day. As the cornerstone must be placed and that one which was rejected has become THE cornerstone. Traditionally the Messiah is taught to be a woodworker. Or perhaps he was busy schooling the Sadducees and Pharisees from age 12 on. Being the eldest son he would have been given to the synagogue and the Levites to learn the Torah. Or perhaps his 12 year old reputation excused him from tradition and he did some sort of manual labor. He was a good fisherman as well.

so, i didn’t say don’t homestead, you misunderstand the context of what i said, in fact, i am homesteading myself. however, i don’t rush about in fear of what is coming. i absolutely do not put my faith in gooberment. trouble with my homesteading efforts is that i have to go it alone as there are precious few people who are driven to accomplish.

Luke 12 refers to the old laws for do this and do not do that. Jesus’ sacrifice made all things clean if received with thanking from THE FATHER. So many refuse the context of the real meaning.

I think though, that when things get even tougher, there will be a fleeing from the cities and the people without the resources will be fleeing also. They will find they have the resources to move.
I think you are anticipating that, Kevin, with your question about squatting on other's land? The land presumably is well outside the city.

I think about the poor, the widow, the orphan, the single parent with one or more children, and the disabled person, etc. living a life they were born into in the cities all over the world. Gods children. I feel the Yeshua was teaching about being "prepared" to enter the Kingdom, we are in this world but not of it, don't fear the one who can take your life as we all will die, but fear the One who has control over your eternal soul. Everything in this world will pass away. None of us are righteous, all the souls in heaven only the Lamb was able to open the scroll. I feel we will all have to walk thru the fire for purification, some a little longer than others

They sound admirable goals of sharing among people you may not even know, Kevin, and I think you should do it.
The reality is that "preppers" toil long hours to get enough to feed themselves and their own families.
Are you thinking that a homesteader should have open borders.
It sounds to me as if you are along the lines of a kind of socialist Christianity.

Generally, I agree that preparing yourself practically is a good and wise thing to do. You provided many good Scriptures that prove that point. However, concerning the parable of the 10 virgins, I think that's more with a spiritual application since at the end, the five foolish virgins went to meet the bridegroom, but the bridegroom said he did not know them. Maybe one could attribute a practical meaning from this passage. But, I think it was meant with spiritual meaning. Because I don't think that Yeshua will reject those who did not prepare practically. Some people are in situations where they would like to prepare as they observe things going on around them, but they're stuck in situations that do not allow them to be able to purchase land, grow food, move somewhere else, etc. Not out of laziness, but because they're unable to. I don't think Yeshua will reject those who are unable to do the things you're suggesting. He cares for the widow, the poor, and the orphan. And those are the ones who might see these things happening around them but because of their complicated situations, might be unable to do anything about it. So, no, I don't think the Parable of the Ten Virgins applies here.

A question please - what do you think?
You left the city a number of years back because you saw "the writing on the wall" and are now "prepped" enough for selves and family and maybe a few more people you know and trust who will contribute to the homestead.
Then, when the fleeing from cities is underway at the last minute and unprepped people want to come onto your place and be sustained from your prepping, what do you do?
To try to feed more people would take the food from your family.
But to withold means others don't have and they may be believers with children.
I think about the closing of the door of the Ark. It wasn't Noah who shut the door. God shut the door.
What is the right thing to do?

They don't understand God because they don't KNOW the O.T. Scripture says God doesn't change. If that's true - and it is - then the same God over the O.T. is the same God of the N.T.
