@THE MOUSE KILLER idk if u being sarcastic or trolling, but that's not true. Not everything is haram in islam and whatever is haram has a reason. For example, pigs are haram because they eat their own dead foetus, carcasses and what not. If we consume pigs, we are also harming ourselves. But something to remember, we are not allowed to force our beliefs upon someone even if they are a muslim.

I hope you guys are doing okay. It's a really hard thing to go through and the best advice I can give. You is try and get outside as much as possible. Fresh air will really help and if you have a pet it can really be beneficial to walk them to clear your mind because sometimes when you grieve stuff just comes up for one reason or another.

Does not mean if you drank it standing you would be punished for not following it. It’s just guidance on the best ‘way of life’ according to Islam. And so far none of the Islamic guidances have been proven wrong by science infact majority have been proven to be the correct or better way of doing things. Another example is sleeping on your right side. That’s already been proven better I could list so much more. Please look into Islam yourself and don’t let the media draw you an incorrect narrative.

Personal story but related.

One of the first thing my future (Muslim) husband told me was that I'd have to stop shaving my eyebrow. I don't. So he said then no more waxing them. Again, I don't. He asked my what's wrong with them. I had totally forgotten that I had an equestrian accident when I was 8, needed stitches on my forehead - right over my left eyebrow. After the "arch" I don't have an eyebrow. I usually add it with makeup but hadn't that day. I had totally forgotten about other people realizing I don't have an eyebrow.

My aunt taught us when we were younger that changing the shape of the eyebrow is haram so plucking or shaving it off is basically changing its shape. She said we can make it neat tho. Your hair grows back fully 40 days after the wax- before those 40 days the hair growth isnt that long so I guess that's why- but if you shave then it isnt a huge deal as the hair grows back after a week or so

@Beth Young you shouldn't have to do something constantly when it isnt necessary. Our religion teaches us how to take care of our hygiene aswell (what did you expect that on each page of the Quran it would just be that Allah is god and Prophet Muhammad is the last messenger? The quran also teaches us how to live.), so these number of days are just instructions on how to maintain proper hygiene

Yep, all of the parts a man wants shaved but leave the parts he doesn't want shaved.🙄 The Most High created everyone with hair for a reason. Shaving isn't biblical at all, and women choose to shave certain parts in order to be more appealing to a man, hygiene reasons and just general appearance.

Shaving is sunnah afaik.

You can shave, you can not-shave. It's true that it's recommended to shave every 40 days or less, but it's okay not to follow this. You get merit/reward for doing so, but you also don't get demerit/sin for not doing so.

@Midad Elwaleed Its a rule and most of the people are happy with it so why tell them to not if they are happy with there choices and if there not its there choice till they learn it properly.We arent forced to do things like hijab is obligatory but many dont wear it cause of there choice and all the rules in our religion are for our good, nothing in our religion is made for a bad purpose For example hijab is made for women to cover thereselves from disguisting men and dirty looks and keep modesty and alchohol is prevented cause its harmful for the body and you call it misogynistic while in it womens are given so much respect.
