They have released two LPs, their debut No Fate...But What We Make For Ourselves and their 2005 full-length Don't Get Lost In A Movement. Their sound has been compared to influences as widely ranging as Iron Maiden, Thrice, Strung Out and even The Police.
Originally formed in 1999, the band underwent a change of personnel in 2003 to welcome several new members and incorporated a third guitarist to produce a fuller, more dynamic sound. With help from friend and producer/engineer, Dean Hadjichristou (Addictive Sound Studios), the band began production on tracks that would eventually appear on their debut CD. After playing only a handful of shows, The Fully Down caught the attention of local label Pop Culture Records, who eagerly signed the band.
Alternative Press Magazine selected The Fully Down as winners of their Vans Warped Tour (Region 4) contest in July, 2004. The band subsequently enjoyed three weeks on the Vans Warped Tour covering the North-Eastern U.S. & Canada. The band also signed a deal that saw their CD released in Japan via Bullion Records in February, 2005.
The Fully Down signed to Fearless Records in August 2005. Their label debut, Don't Get Lost in a Movement, appeared that November. Touring continued before the band headed out the following spring on the Fear and Loathing Tour with Protest The Hero, A Wilhelm Scream, Bayside and The Spill Canvas. Halfway through April the tour ended and they began touring with Boy Sets Fire and Versus the Mirror until the end of May.
December
The Fully Down Lyrics

The silence of these summer nights
They've been calling us
It's progress to swear we will improve
I'm guessing that it's still the truth
It's still the truth
I've been waiting for the
It's hard to believe those days are gone
And it won't be long
Slow truths and lives that never change
Bring me back to this place, back to this place
Time takes it's toll on who we used to be (used to be)
Until we see the leaves that are falling
Looking out my window as I
Swear to make a change I'm seeing
Things through new eyes
And I'm scared
I'll never take the time to see
The things that life leaves incomplete
Through everything they'd have you believe
The Fully Down's song "December" is a powerful reflection on the transient nature of time and the importance of making the most of our lives. The song opens with a call to action, urging listeners not to waste the brief summer nights, but instead to use them to improve their lives and relationships. The singer suggests that progress is possible, but only if we are willing to take action in pursuit of our goals. Despite the challenges we face, he stubbornly insists that it is still possible to remain true to ourselves and move forward towards a better future.
The mood of the song shifts as the singer reflects on the passage of time and the way it shapes our lives. The cold of December represents a reminder that all things must pass, and as the singer looks out his window at the leaves falling, he remembers the impermanence of life. Despite the inevitability of change, the singer remains committed to making a difference, swearing to see things through new eyes and make the most of every opportunity.
Ultimately, "December" is a song about hope and determination in the face of life's challenges. It encourages listeners to embrace change and take control of their lives, even as they recognize the limitations of time and the fleeting nature of existence.
