1. Jayceon Terrell Taylor (born November 29, 1979 in Compton, California, United States), better known by his stage name Game, formerly known as The Game, is an American Grammy Award winning gangsta rapper signed to Aftermath Entertainment through his own label Black Wall Street Records, with which he founded with his half brother Big Fase 100. He rose to fame in 2005 with the success of his debut album, The Documentary, and his two Grammy nominations. Since then he has released several other critically acclaimed albums, 2006's Doctor's Advocate and 2008's LAX. The RED Album was released August 23, 2011. All of his four albums debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 100, and he is widely considered to be a driving force in bringing back the West Coast hip hop scene and competing with many of his East Coast counterparts.
Studying various influential rap albums, Game developed a strategy to become a rapper himself and with help from Big Fase, they founded The Black Wall Street Records. The label originally featured such artists as Glasses Malone, Vita, and Nu Jerzey Devil, along with Game himself. His stage name was coined by his grandmother. Game first gained prominence when he attended a hip-hop summit hosted by Russell Simmons and Louis Farrakhan, releasing his first mixtape You Know What It Is Vol. 1 in 2002, followed by a record deal with the independent label, Get Low Recordz owned by JT the Bigga Figga. Originally Sean Combs of Bad Boy Records was going to sign him to his label, but Game's mixtape found the attention of famed producer Dr. Dre, who signed him to Aftermath Entertainment in 2003. In October 2004, he released his first album Untold Story through Get Low Recordz, which sold over 82,000 copies within its first three months. The album featured artists like Sean T, Young Noble (of the Outlawz), and JT the Bigga Figga. Game also appeared on various mixtapes hosted by DJ's such as DJ Kayslay, DJ Whoo Kid, and DJ Clue. Game also released a second mixtape You Know What It Is Vol. 2 through his own record label and appeared on the video game NBA Live 2004 on a song produced by Fredwreck called "Can't Stop Me". On January 24th, 2011, he released a mixtape entitled, "Purp & Patron."

Pull you're motherfucking dodger caps over you're motherfucking eyes
Till you can't see shit
I want you to go blind nigga
So you can feel how I felt when I was in that motherfucking coma
[Chorus]
Where safe and danger switch lanes
So stranger drive slow (drive slow)
Where beggars and gangstas
Fast women and dank are
Just part of the face that we show
We got mountains and ocean
We move in slow motion
Off that sticky that you all love to blow
I swear ain't nothing better there
That's why we all take our hats off to you, the one blood
[Verse 1]
Come to my hood (hood)
Look at my block (block)
That's that project building, yeah that's where I got shot (shot)
Cause I was more hood than Suge
Had more rocks than Jay
More scars in my face than the original Scarface
Or the homeboy Scarface
Al Pacino couldn't be no gangsta
Deniro in casino he no gansta
Wanna be, wanna see, wanna get a shovel, dig tookie up nigga
Cause he know gangstas
Niggas think cause they watch menace a couple times
Seen Cuban boys in the hood and press rewind
That you can survive when a real crip run upon your corner an flex the nine
You must be out of your mind
A real blood will put you out of your mind
So stay the fuck up out of my hood
Or my niggas take you up out of your shine
It ain't a movie dog
Hell yeah it's a real fuckin' Uzi dog
I'm bout to hop inside my impala
Try to keep up, don't loose me yall
[Chorus]
[Verse 2]
I know the real O-Dog
And that nigga know the real Game
I call him the rinse tape
And he never been in no gang
But he been in my house (house)
And he set on my couch (couch)
While I put one in the air
So yeah tat nigga know what I'm bout (bout)
I'm bout my hood
I'm bout my block
I'm bout my chips
So if the rap money stop and I punch a clock
Catch you slippin' at a light get out yo shit
We jack niggas, out of towners
And rap niggas, and ball players
Cause we ball player
We chop it up with them trap niggas
We outkast, we big boys
Ludacris with them big toys
Where I'm from there's only two things standing on the corner
Me and that liquor store
Look what the bloods did to Weezy
Look what the crips did to Jeezy
This gangbanger shit ain't nothing to play with
Me and Snoop Dogg just made it look easy
[Chorus]
You niggas got this L.A shit real fucked up man
Niggas better start respecting what the fuck we about man
We take niggas the fuck out, this shit ain't no movie dawg
This shit is real crips, bloods, ese
We hold shit down, This is L.A.
Wrote the shit on my face, put a motherfucking star behind
What the fuck I am, starface!
The Game's song LAX Files is a tribute to his hometown, Los Angeles. He talks about the reality of living in LA, where safety and danger can switch lanes unexpectedly. He invites listeners to come to his hood and see the project building where he got shot. He boasts about his gangster reputation and warns wannabes to stay out of his hood. The song reflects the gritty reality of life in LA, where gangs, violence, and drug culture are an everyday part of life. The chorus highlights the dichotomy of LA, with its stunning mountains and oceans juxtaposed with the grittiness of the city's underbelly.
The Game's LAX Files is one of the most popular songs from his third studio album, LAX, which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. This song and the album were both commercially successful.

I used to play this in my 2007 Silverado with my friend Big Ben. Nothing compares to how I felt driving around listening to this in the Bose sound system. My friend Big Ben died in 2019, we used to make music together. I sell cars and last week someone came in and traded my old truck. Just bought it back. Gotta buy this CD again so I can get the feeling again. R.I.P. Big Ben!
