1. Jayceon Terrell Taylor (born November 29, 1979 in Compton, California, United States), better known by his stage name Game, formerly known as The Game, is an American Grammy Award winning gangsta rapper signed to Aftermath Entertainment through his own label Black Wall Street Records, with which he founded with his half brother Big Fase 100. He rose to fame in 2005 with the success of his debut album, The Documentary, and his two Grammy nominations. Since then he has released several other critically acclaimed albums, 2006's Doctor's Advocate and 2008's LAX. The RED Album was released August 23, 2011. All of his four albums debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 100, and he is widely considered to be a driving force in bringing back the West Coast hip hop scene and competing with many of his East Coast counterparts.
Studying various influential rap albums, Game developed a strategy to become a rapper himself and with help from Big Fase, they founded The Black Wall Street Records. The label originally featured such artists as Glasses Malone, Vita, and Nu Jerzey Devil, along with Game himself. His stage name was coined by his grandmother. Game first gained prominence when he attended a hip-hop summit hosted by Russell Simmons and Louis Farrakhan, releasing his first mixtape You Know What It Is Vol. 1 in 2002, followed by a record deal with the independent label, Get Low Recordz owned by JT the Bigga Figga. Originally Sean Combs of Bad Boy Records was going to sign him to his label, but Game's mixtape found the attention of famed producer Dr. Dre, who signed him to Aftermath Entertainment in 2003. In October 2004, he released his first album Untold Story through Get Low Recordz, which sold over 82,000 copies within its first three months. The album featured artists like Sean T, Young Noble (of the Outlawz), and JT the Bigga Figga. Game also appeared on various mixtapes hosted by DJ's such as DJ Kayslay, DJ Whoo Kid, and DJ Clue. Game also released a second mixtape You Know What It Is Vol. 2 through his own record label and appeared on the video game NBA Live 2004 on a song produced by Fredwreck called "Can't Stop Me". On January 24th, 2011, he released a mixtape entitled, "Purp & Patron."

Sit with the body for seven days and just smoke cannabis with it
I told Logic, logically, I shouldn't be on this with him
'Cause I'm way too disrespectful and I was just bein' honest with him
The black sheep, mmm-hmm, and the G.O.A.T., mmm-hmm
Michael Jordan, mmm-hmm, Manigault, mmm-hmm
Before that ship sails, I tip scales and man the boat
Fish scale weigh ten whales and, um, handle dope
2Pac, Maya Angelou, let us deconstruct it
Take the ass shots out of hip-hop and, um, reconstruct it
Give me your Slick Rick chains and Rakim's beeper buzzin'
Give me the velour sweatsuit on Stillmatic and Ether bussin'
Give me the Annie sample on Hard Knock Life and the deep discussions
That Malcolm had with Cassius Clay, Same Cooke, and Jim Brown
I'm them now, especially when the hotel lights get dimmed down in Miami, whoa, shit
Logic
Logically, chronically, sonically (you, you, you, you, you, haha)
Ayy, I could give a fuck about this rap shit, homie
Logic finally out the deal but the shit feel phony
Kind of feel like I'm back in the basement again
I make a masterpiece easy like I'm tracin' it in
Life's a trip though
Cash is dead, I took my money to the crypto
Blast the feds and now I'm reloadin' the clip though
Hahah, alright, oh my God, sippin' La Tรขche, feelin' posh
Flow so ill, that shit was born in the triage
I got more tracks than heroin addicts
When my son goes to sleep, he uses his sound machine
But as a child, through my teens, all I heard was automatics
That was just the lifestyle, no way you could combat it
They said I couldn't, said I won't
I think I'm rappin' like I don't give a fuck 'cause I don't
Got a million platinum plaques and billions in streams
I used to think this shit was the definition of dreams
Now I understand that none of that is what it seems
It won't fulfill you, but it'll fill you full up off emptiness
If that's the only reason that you doin' it
Well, I get it, and I'm still here doin' it
I guess I love it, ha
Just me and my fleet, y'all, we'll defeat y'all
Livin' how we're livin', not at all for you
Finally on my feet, y'all, been on the beach, y'all
Lookin' at the sky and the stars above
Just me and my fleet, y'all, we'll defeat y'all
Livin' how we're livin', not at all for you
Finally on my feet, y'all, been on the beach, y'all
Lookin' at the sky and the stars above
The lyrics to The Game's song "On One" contain a mix of different themes and images. The first verse starts with The Game boasting about his skills on the mic, claiming to have taken the microphone off of LL and even using it to strangle fellow rapper Canibus. He then tells Logic that he probably shouldn't be on the track with him because he's too disrespectful, but also acknowledges Logic's talent. The verse also contains a mix of references to various sports figures like Michael Jordan and Kyrie Irving, as well as historical figures like Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali.
The second verse is delivered by Logic, who begins by expressing his disillusionment with the rap industry, despite recently being released from his record deal. He reflects on the fleeting and superficial nature of success and the emptiness that comes with it. He also touches on how he grew up in a violent environment, surrounded by gun violence, and how that shaped who he is today. In contrast to The Game's references to traditional ideas of masculinity and power, Logic's verse is more introspective, personal, and vulnerable.
Overall, the song seems to be exploring different perspectives on success, fame, power, and identity in the rap world. The Game's verse reflects more traditional ideas of bravado and male dominance, while Logic's verse is more reflective and self-aware. The title "On One" can be interpreted in different ways, but it's likely meant to convey a sense of being "on top" or in control, as well as a sense of being under the influence (whether of drugs, power, or social pressure).
