1. Jayceon Terrell Taylor (born November 29, 1979 in Compton, California, United States), better known by his stage name Game, formerly known as The Game, is an American Grammy Award winning gangsta rapper signed to Aftermath Entertainment through his own label Black Wall Street Records, with which he founded with his half brother Big Fase 100. He rose to fame in 2005 with the success of his debut album, The Documentary, and his two Grammy nominations. Since then he has released several other critically acclaimed albums, 2006's Doctor's Advocate and 2008's LAX. The RED Album was released August 23, 2011. All of his four albums debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 100, and he is widely considered to be a driving force in bringing back the West Coast hip hop scene and competing with many of his East Coast counterparts.
Studying various influential rap albums, Game developed a strategy to become a rapper himself and with help from Big Fase, they founded The Black Wall Street Records. The label originally featured such artists as Glasses Malone, Vita, and Nu Jerzey Devil, along with Game himself. His stage name was coined by his grandmother. Game first gained prominence when he attended a hip-hop summit hosted by Russell Simmons and Louis Farrakhan, releasing his first mixtape You Know What It Is Vol. 1 in 2002, followed by a record deal with the independent label, Get Low Recordz owned by JT the Bigga Figga. Originally Sean Combs of Bad Boy Records was going to sign him to his label, but Game's mixtape found the attention of famed producer Dr. Dre, who signed him to Aftermath Entertainment in 2003. In October 2004, he released his first album Untold Story through Get Low Recordz, which sold over 82,000 copies within its first three months. The album featured artists like Sean T, Young Noble (of the Outlawz), and JT the Bigga Figga. Game also appeared on various mixtapes hosted by DJ's such as DJ Kayslay, DJ Whoo Kid, and DJ Clue. Game also released a second mixtape You Know What It Is Vol. 2 through his own record label and appeared on the video game NBA Live 2004 on a song produced by Fredwreck called "Can't Stop Me". On January 24th, 2011, he released a mixtape entitled, "Purp & Patron."

How can you be so blind?
You're still regretting the love you left
Left behind
Oh, darling
I seen you go through the changes
Sitting alone each night
Are you expecting to find the love?
(Yo, yo-yo-yo, yo)
(Yo, yo, yo-yo-yo, yo)
(Yo, yo, yo-yo-yo, yo)
(Yo, yo, yo-yo-yo, yo, yo)
Used to sell it all night
Virgil owe me a percentage of that Off-White
Take a nigga bitch out of spite
I'm every bitch type
I'm on the block, Rolls truck sittin' nice
Niggas still can't see me, I'm hidin' in plain sight
Last 15 years of my life, I cut any hip-hop nigga fuckin' throat with this mic
I hit the dealership and get them niggas right
Before you cop it, you gotta ask, "What's the price?"
You in the club makin' toast to your life
I'm in this Ghost gettin' throat at this light
We ain't the same, nigga, your ticket's by the lights
I'm wipin' sweat off my Fendi at this Pacquiao fight
Niggas that I thought was wasn't that nice
If it's only hip-hop tell Em, "Step in this light"
Tell Cole, "Step in this light"
Tell Dot, "Step in this light"
Tell Drizzy, "Step in this light"
Travis Scott, step to the light
300 Bars was just an intro
That was me in DJ Skee basement relaxed off Endo
You ain't even seen me off the 'Tron yet
You ain't heard me on a county jail phone yet
I ain't even set the tone yet
Picture Wu-Tang mobbin' deep on a Nore-N-Capone set
My diamonds offset, yeah, my Audemar wet
It look like me, Nicki, and Cardi B havin' phone sex
Who gon' flex? Who want next?
How many niggas I done bodied and me and Hov ain't did a song yet
And all you niggas cappin', actin' like you own jets
Land it at Teterboro and bring that ass to Funk Flex
Bring them Dracos, you been shootin' at niggas on texts
All these threats, ain't even comfortable inside your own flesh
Jimmy Iovine should have kept his advice
Instead of tellin' niggas they could ever step in this light
Tell Future, "Step in this light"
Tell Chance, "Step in this light"
Tell Sean, "Step to this light"
If it's only hip-hop, tell nigga, "Step in my light"
In The Game's song "The Light," the lyrics paint a picture of someone who is in a state of loneliness and regret. The singer observes this person in their solitary state, questioning how they can be so blind to their own feelings. It is evident that this person is still haunted by the love they left behind and has yet to move on. The singer empathizes with their struggles, acknowledging the changes they have gone through and how they spend their nights alone, hoping to find love once again.
The first verse of the song takes a different direction, shifting the focus to The Game himself. He brags about his past experiences, including selling drugs and his connection to fashion designer Virgil Abloh's Off-White brand. He asserts his ability to attract different types of women and showcases his luxurious lifestyle with mentions of Rolls trucks and expensive purchases. The Game also emphasizes his dominance in the rap game, claiming to have spent the last 15 years cutting the throats of his competitors with his microphone skills. He contrasts the life of success and power he leads with those who celebrate in the club and highlights his unique position in the industry.
The second verse continues The Game's self-praise, referencing his famous diss track "300 Bars" and recalling a relaxed moment in DJ Skee's basement while under the influence of marijuana. He challenges his rivals, implying that they haven't witnessed his true abilities yet, whether it be through his lyrics or his intense phone conversations while in jail. The Game then compares himself and his extravagant lifestyle to hip-hop icons Wu-Tang Clan and boasts about his expensive diamonds. He playfully mentions Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, insinuating a hypothetical sexual encounter. Throughout the verse, he questions the authenticity and credibility of his competitors, taunting them for not collaborating with him yet and suggesting that they are all talk without substance. He ends the verse by calling out Jimmy Iovine, a music executive, for not recognizing his talent and advises others to think twice before stepping into the spotlight.
