Moonlight Becomes You
The Glenn Miller Orchestra Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Moonlight becomes you, it goes with your hair
You certainly know the right thing to wear
Moonlight becomes you, I'm thrilled at the sight
And I could get so romantic tonight

You're all dressed up to go dreaming
Now don't tell me I'm wrong
And what a night to go dreaming
Mind if I tag along

If I say I love you
I want you to know
It's not just because there's moonlight
Although, moonlight becomes you so

You're all dressed up to go dreaming
Now don't tell me I'm wrong
And what a night to go dreaming
Mind if I tag along

If I say I love you
I want you to know

It's not just because there's moonlight
Although, moonlight becomes you so

That is my Uncle Skip Nelson singing on this record.

@swingman5635

Wow,how cool is that?! Skip was great,my favorite of his vocals is,"That Old Black Magic",also with GM. " Moonlight Mood",another great one. Have you seen the clip of your uncle singing "Irresistible You", with TD,and the Pied Pipers? Beautiful! It's on YouTube. Did you know him well? I would have loved to have heard his stories of his career.

@moviemaker60fps

@@swingman5635 He lived with my family for a while when I was a teenager. He had separated from his wife and then after a while they reconciled and he returned. I accompanied him to a nightclub one night,I was 18 we could drink at 18 in those days, and he tried to get me to sing with him. I could not do it as I only sang rock and roll and blues and did not know how to croon. They are treasured memories of mine.

@@moviemaker60fps How fortunate you are, to enjoy such memories! Cheers!
