Carrying ambition and confidence in their creative potential to stay united post high school graduation, the band relocated to Seattle in 2007 to pursue their musical experiments in a more opportune environment. Somewhere between day jobs and school, The Globes managed to record an eponymous E.P. in early 2008 with engineer Jonathan Warman (Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band) in the dim and dusty basement of their little blue house. In the following year, the band spent fruitful time playing weekly shows in the Northwest and running up and down the West Coast, slowly catching the attention of humble audiences and local critics, while sharpening their own collective spirit.
After a time of travel, the Globes spent the fall of 2009 writing and recording new music with veteran producer John Goodmanson (Blonde Redhead, Death Cab for Cutie, Unwound), resulting in the release of the "Sinter Songs" EP, a conglomeration of 4 moody songs based on the intricate rhythms and dynamics of Ourada (drums) and McCotter (bass) overlayed by noisy and textural guitar work of Musselwhite and Walters. "Sinter Songs" marks of the debut of Musselwhite on vocals, and displays the bands penchant for precision while maintaining youthful angst and naivety.
Like hairs on a head, The Globes continue to grow in all directions. Look forward to it.
They were included in AP magazines list of "100 bands to know in 2011".

@Warlock I was reading about the 1937 show trails put on by Josef
Stalin and what he did to the people he put on trial and the torture
he put them through before hand.
Now, that was real pain. That was true suffering.
Not getting a movie role or all the fair shakes you think are due you
in film making hardly compares.
What you witnessed was people fluffing themselves up.
Hollywood can be very, very superfluous. How many of those movies
you miss? Was your life derailed because you missed those movies?

This is exactly the style of speech you deliver when you get asked to do a wedding speech because the best man is chickening out at the last minute.

Brilliant. You made me laugh. Something this gentleman failed to do all night.

Nah, that's how ppl laugh at JC's stuff. The audience laughs or kinda laughs exactly like that in all of his specials. He's actually too funny to be a comedian if that makes any sense
Jim Johnson
@Paul Gayle that means.... Not funny.

@J Jamberson watch love at the store...I'll wait

They got him to host after they cancelled his show is wild 😂
Racz Green
Hollywood is pandering.
Mike Demirdjian
mexia23 Let's be real. The Carmichael show may have well been a part of Fox's 1990 Summer Lineup. That's how obscure it was in present day.

@Mike Demirdjian i agree it didn't get the promo it desereved

"They" didnt ask him to host. He stated that he was asked to host by a friend that was also asked to produce the golden globes and that right there is important to point out, simply because out of the tons of black comedians that could of been asked this person (his friend) asked him and that within itself is something he should consider before going off the deep end and potentially making his friend look bad for asking him.
