The Gramophone Allstars neix la primavera de 2008 amb la ciutat de Barcelona com a centre neuràlgic però amb membres de diverses parts del territori català. El grup ofereix principalment un repertori dominat per les sonoritats que fusionen ska i jazz , però interessant-se també per estils com el boogaloo, el rocksteady, el soul o la bossa nova. Així presenten tan composicions pròpies fidels al seu estil com arranjaments de clàssics del jazz en clau ska-jazz.
The Gramophone Allstars és un projecte que neix obert a la col•laboració amb altres artistes i a l’experimentació amb diferents formats i postes en escena en uns concerts anomenats SIDE B. La banda presenta una formació molt completa, amb vuit músics que tot i la seva joventut fa temps que formen part de l’escena musical jamaicana del nostre país i d’altres camps com el jazz, pop, el rock, jazz-fusió i mestissatge.
L’estiu de 2008 apareix el primer disc de la banda titulat Just delightin’...(Silver Bullets, 2008) amb un total de 12 temes, 8 composicions pròpies i 4 versions que recorren les diferents sonoritats jamaicanes amb sutils dosis de jazz, soul i latin.

The Gramophone Allstars band was born in 2008 in Barcelona; however, their members are from different parts of Catalonia. The musical proposal of this group is the mixture of ska music and jazz, but also closed styles such as rocksteady, soul and boogaloo. As a consequence, we can find all this musical universe in their concerts. "SIDE B" is the name of the shows where the band experiments with diferent formats, new arrangements or curious sceneries.
In the same year that the band is born their first long-play, entitled Just delightin’… (Silver Bullets, 2008) appears. All along its twelve tracks – eight of them are own compositions and the rest are covers – we can listen to the main styles practiced by Jamaican musicians during the sixties: ska, ska-jazz, rocksteady, reggae and a bit of soul and latin stuff.
Although we are talking about a young band, their members have a long experience in the Jamaican music scene all around Catalonia. However, they have experience in other music styles such as jazz, fusion, rock, pop and funk.

The Gramophone Allstars nacen en la primavera del 2008 con Barcelona como centro neurálgico pero con miembros de diversas partes de Cataluña. La intención del grupo es ofrecer una música dominada por las sonoridades que fusionan ska y jazz principalmente, pero también interesándose por estilos como el rocksteady, el boogaloo, el soul o la bossa nova.
El repertorio del grupo está formado por composiciones propias que recrean todo esta paleta musical y, al mismo tiempo, por arreglos de piezas jazzísticas en clave ska-jazz. The Gramophone Allstars es un proyecto que nace abierto a las colaboraciones con otros artistas, a la experimentación con distintos formatos (conciertos conocidos como SIDE B) y cuyos miembros destacan por su juventud. La banda presenta una formación muy completa con ocho musicos que forman aprte de la escena jamaicana catalana y que también conocen otros campos como el jazz, el jazz-fusión, el pop, el rock o el funk.
Grabado durante el diciembre de 2007 y mezclado y masterizado a inicios de 2008 Just delightin’… (Silver Bullets, 2008) es el primer disco la banda. Se trata de 12 temas: cuatro versiones y ocho composiciones propias que recorren los principales estilos jamaicanos con sutiles dosis de jazz, soul i latin.
