The Grays Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

So many questions
But Im talking to myself
I know that you cant me anymore, anymore
So much to tell you
And most of all goodbye
But I know that you cant hear me anymore

Its so loud inside my head
With words

Overall Meaning

As I interpret the lyrics to The Grays' song "Everybody's World", I believe the song is about someone who is talking to themselves, reflecting on their relationship with someone who they can no longer communicate with. The person is filled with questions and has so much to say to the other person, but they know that their words will never be heard. The song is a reflection of the pain and sadness that comes with the end of a relationship, and the thoughts and emotions that run through one's mind during that time.

The opening lines "So many questions but I'm talking to myself" suggests that the person is trying to make sense of things and trying to understand why their relationship has come to an end. The phrase "I know that you can't hear me anymore, anymore" implies that the person has tried to reach out to the other person, but they have moved on or simply do not want to hear what they have to say. The phrase "So much to tell you, and most of all goodbye" is particularly poignant, as it suggests that the person has a lot of unresolved feelings and wants to say goodbye properly, but knows that they can't.

The chorus, "It's so loud inside my head with words" further emphasizes the pain and confusion that the person is going through. The words are bouncing around inside their head, but they cannot find a way to express them or communicate them to the other person. The song is a powerful reflection of the pain that comes with the end of a relationship, and the struggle to find closure and move on.
