danielleaparis true, but there is no doubt that It’s one of Alan Menkens’ best work in years. Also If it weren’t for Menken and Ashman, Pasek and Paul wouldn’t have the careers they have now. Trust me,I love Pasek and Paul there are definitely the future Rodgers and Hammerstein. But Menkens’ music was my childhood and my first love so I believe Evermore is still the front runner for Best original song. Plus it would be nice to see Menken win his 9th academy award but it would also be nice to see Pasek and Paul win their 2nd academy award just like Menken did in the past.

I was lucky enough to watch this during a festival on a holiday and at an odd time of day, like after 4 so my boyfriend and I were the only two people in the theatre for that showing. Best date ever. We sang, stomped clapped and danced the entire time then stayed for the end credits and was dancing up and down the steps and just enjoying it and this song in particular. This movie is going to be EPIC! I can see theaters across the country on their feet, standing ovations when the credits roll, five start reviews, Oscars handed out to every person who worked on this. I mean, just from the soundtrack, you can hear that everyone is having the time of their lives, throwing themselves into the songs like they'd never get to sing them again, and I cannot wait to hear every song through theater speakers along with the dancing. My wife was so alive with excitement when this musical hit the theaters!!

I am not exaggerating when I say that we never spent as much money at any movie theater as we did the months that The Greatest Showman was run.
I saw it with her multiple times.....she saw it dozens of times with different friends and family members....I saw it at least 5 times.....I want to say she broke 40 viewings, most of those were funded by the people who brought her....YES all at the theater!!

I reckon the closing of the Barnum and Bailey Circus is one of the reasons the movie got green light, because I don't think the producers/executives would have liked the association, as the circus had one of the worst reputations.

Well, really, the Barnum and Bailey circus ended in 1906 when Bailey died and it was bought out by the Ringling Bros. They may have kept the name for a while but I'd say the circus stopped being "Barnum and Bailey" once it was bought out.

Yeah, that was one of many problems it had. It should be pointed out though that PT Barnum only briefly faced opposition from animal rights people & he ended up not only disproving their claims but became great friends with the man who'd go on to found the animal rights movement & practices we have today. Barnum & Bailey took great care of their animals it's the people who bought their circus after Bailey died that abused the animals.

This is a good song. It brings to mind everyone that has ever been brought back to life in the Bible and the fact that all who have died will be brought back to life during the Rapture and when Jesus returns to earth to abolish evil.

It's been a long time since I watched it. Maybe after I watch Greatest Showman, I will rewatch High School Musical. I haven't felt much Wildcat fever in a long time. Especially with this movie and seeing Corbin Bleu aka Chad in Holiday Inn on PBS less than two weeks ago.

I love how upbeat this song is. It’s impossible to be still with this song playing. I have no idea how I got through the entire movie but especially this song sitting down in the movie theater when I first saw it 😂😂
