When I was just a little boy, I'd sit around all day.
As a child, I spent a lot of time daydreaming and contemplating my future.

Thinking about the future to pass the time of day.
I would often contemplate the unknown future as a way of passing the time.

With my friends sittin' laughin', they would mainly laugh at me,
My friends would laugh at me for being different and not conforming to societal norms.

because I was always different, it was all so plain to see.
My uniqueness and individualism were very evident, and it set me apart from others.

Didn't want to be a fireman, a cowboy, or a cop.
I didn't aspire to conform to the typical and expected career paths that society often promotes.

I was always different like a sore thumb I stuck out.
My differentness was very apparent and made me stand out like a sore thumb.

Because even in my dreams I won't pretend to age,
In my dreams, I refuse to conform to societal expectations of aging and growing up.

I knew a life of normalcy was nothing but a cage.
I recognized that living a typical and mundane life was simply a prison disguised as normalcy.

When I grow up, I don't want to be like you!
I refuse to conform and become like the majority who simply follow society's expectations.

To be a barbarian would be a lot of fun.
Being a barbarian would be exciting and enjoyable for me.

Sit around, eat raw meat in the mid day sun.
I would happily indulge in the barbarian lifestyle of eating raw meat in the sun.

I'd dance around the fire, like a madman I would yell,
I would joyfully celebrate and dance around the fire, shouting like a maniac.

I'd smell a bit I'd fart a lot, I'd cut class and I'd belch.
I would emit unpleasant odors, frequently flatulate, skip class, and burp frequently.

I'd sack the Roman Empire and do with a grin.
I would gleefully conquer and destroy the Roman Empire.

I'd set the cities all ablaze... do it on a whim.
I would burn entire cities to the ground with reckless abandon.

And people would shriek as I was coming into town,
My violent and chaotic reputation would precede me, and people would fear my arrival.

because I'd bring my minotaur to help me fry it down.
I would bring a monstrous creature to aid me in my destruction and terrorize the people further.

When I grow up, I want something fun to do.
As an adult, I desire an enjoyable and thrilling lifestyle rather than a mundane or typical one.

I don't know much, but this much I know is true.
Although I am not certain of many things, I am certain that I do not want to live a life of conformity and mundanity.

when life is short, I don't want to be like you!
Since life is short, I refuse to waste it by living a typical and unfulfilling life like the majority of people.

When I grow up I think I want to be white trash
I aspire to live a life that goes against societal norms, such as a 'white trash' lifestyle.

living in a trailer park and sitting on my ass.
I would happily live in a mobile home park, enjoy leisure, and not work hard.

I'd beat my wife and kids, my kids are passed out in the lawn.
I would commit domestic violence, and my children would be neglected and passed out on the lawn.

I'd steal my brewskies from my mom and often kick my dog.
I would routinely steal alcohol from my mother and treat my pet dog cruelly.

I'd go to work an hour later, bitch about my boss.
I would arrive to work late and spend much of my time complaining about my employer.

I'd tell sexist jokes to all my friends to get my weight across.
I would often tell offensive and derogatory jokes about women to assert my dominance among my peers.

And every friday night I think I'd bowl a round or two,
On Friday evenings, I would enjoy bowling a few games.

because standing watching monster trucks is just the thing to do!
Watching monster trucks is a popular pastime for people like me who reject societal norms and expectations.
