The band draws from traditional folk and American roots music. The songs have a vintage quality, as if they might have been written yesterday or 75 years ago. Grounded in honeyed harmonies and spirited pickin’, it lies in a nowhere land between distinct styles: It’s not quite bluegrass or blues or country. Still, there are elements of all those in songs that paint pictures of empty train stations and nights of passing a jug of moonshine around. It’s the vocal harmonies that really set them apart, a three-headed juggernaut of Desirae Garcia (ukulele), Chela Lujan (banjo) and Inaiah Lujan (guitar). “When their voices blend, it is nothing short of beautiful,” writes Bill Reed of The Colorado Springs Gazette. The sound is often moody and melancholy, but it is always deeply affecting. That sound is embroidered by the instrumental mastery of Mike Clark (harmonica, guitar and mandolin).

The Haunted Windchimes Lyrics

She's the prettiest girl I ever did see
Lover above all the rest
Someday soon I'll make my queen
I put flower in her hair and maybugs on her door
When I come a callin, baby I won't let go
And I know she's the one I've been lookin for
Searched all over and more
Burn like a fire in my core
Be sittin on a rockin, sittin on a rockin, sittin on a rockin chair
Be all together, baby with out a care
When I come a knockin, baby I won't let go
We'll be sittin on a rockin, sittin on a rockin chair
Be all together, baby without a care
When I come a knockin, baby I won't let go
When I come a knockin, baby I won't let go
The Haunted Windchimes' song "May" is a sweet, romantic love letter from the singer to his mother, describing his deep love for a woman he adores. He begins by telling his mother about the beauty of his lover, describing her as "the prettiest girl I ever did see." He goes on to express his love and devotion, declaring that she is above all others and that he intends to make her his queen.
The singer thinks of the woman often, placing flowers in her hair and maybugs on her door. When he comes to visit her, he promises that he won't let go, and that he knows she is the one he has been searching for. The chorus finds the singer imagining a future with his beloved, sitting together on a rocking chair without a care in the world.
Overall, the song is a touching expression of love and the simple pleasures that come with a deep affection for another person. It presents a hopeful view of relationships and the ability of love to bring us joy and contentment.

Aesa Garcia
on There She Waits
He left in a steady haze
From the desert lands he came
All wrapped in black
He's gone to seek his treasure back
On and on he marched
With the strength of many men
he's gone to seek his gold
amongst the endless sea of sand
There she lays
There she stays
There she waits
For him...
If his bones are buried
No man should marry me
If he's lost his way
No man should marry me
There she lays
There she stays
There she waits
For him...
He ran in a steady haze
From the desert whence he came
All wrapped in black
He's come to seek his lover back
