Lost In My Mind
The Head and the Heart Lyrics

Put your dreams away for now
I won't see you for some time
I am lost in my mind
I get lost in my mind

Momma once told me
You're already home where you feel love
I am lost in my mind
I get lost in my mind
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh
Oh oh oh oh

Oh my brother
Your wisdom is all that I need
Oh my brother
Don't you worry 'bout me

Don't you worry
Don't you worry, don't worry about me

Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh
Oh oh oh oh

How's that bricklayin' coming
How's your engine running
Is that bridge getting built
Are your hands getting filled

Won't you tell me my brother
'Cause there are stars up above
We can start moving forward

Oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh
Oh oh oh oh

How's that bricklayin' coming
How's your engine running
Is that bridge getting built
Are your hands getting filled

Won't you tell me my brother
'Cause there are stars up above
We can start moving forward

Lost in my mind
Lost in my mind
Oh I get lost in my mind
Lost, I get lost, I get lost in my mind
Lost in my mind
Yes I get lost in my mind
Lost, I get lost, I get lost

Oh I get lost
Oh I get

I get lost in my mind

Your wisdom is older than me
Oh my brother
Don't you worry about me
Don't you worry
Don't you worry
Don't worry about me
How's that bricklaying coming?
How's your engine running?
Is that bridge getting built?
Are your hands getting filled?
Won't you tell me my brother?
Because there are stars up above
We can start moving forward
How's that bricklaying coming?

I lost my youngest son who was 19 in a car wreck last week. My family is grieving and having a very difficult time. We buried him 1 day shy of his 20th birthday. My oldest son is 22 and is lost without his brother. At his lowest point tonight he turned on the radio and this song was playing. He felt as if his little brother was sending him a message. He found great comfort in listen to this song and asked us to listen to it. We sat around crying our eyes out at how touching this was for him to hear. Thank you for making such a beautiful song.

We might know each other… but we are human and are all connected. Life matters so much that when it’s taken from us it never seems fair. Sending you love. You and your family are loved!

I find comfort in this song when my sister's mental health starts suffering and eventually ends up in the hospital. She's so intelligent, but her mind gets the best of her. You're going to get through this sis, we're here for you! Love you!

For me it’s about religion and how it can blur God out of the picture. When I listen to this song I feel the closest to God and so on love with God and I dance and dance and dance alone in my room and just sing. It’s the best feeling ever.

Thats sweet. God bless her. We all get lost in our mind sometimes.
