Drugs
The Hit Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Why can't it just be me?
Her looks could kill, but instead her bad habits will.
Without her fix she's so empty. Drop the drugs baby get with me.
Because when it's said and done,
We're still having fun just the way we are.
All I'm saying is:
The drugs don't need you
Get in the car
She thinks she's so above me
yeah..
Believe me, you're losing the spark you had
and I can't stand to watch it go
Remember when I used to get worked up over YOU
and plan out all the changes I needed to go through
to make myself worthy of your time for a night?
Well I'm over you now and there's red in your eyes.
Does each hit make you see things that you wish were real?
Girl you hate the way that real life makes you feel..
The drugs don't need you
Get in the car
She thinks she's so above me
yeah..
Believe me, you're losing the spark you had
and I can't stand to watch it go
Don't you remember?
It was us last winter..
The cold ice made your lips shake
okay okay okay okay
I still remember your face.
Don't you remember?
It was us last winter..
The cold ice made your lips shake
Well I'd like to think that things were different
If your eyes were clear then I know you meant
every word
The drugs don't need you
Get in the car
She thinks she's so above me
whatever.
Believe me, you're losing the spark you had
and I can't stand to watch it go
