Seven Days
The Hotknives Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Had a thought on the rain today, that you and I, could grow old.
Met a man in the rain today, met a man with a broken heart
Had a thought in the rain today, that you and I, should never part.
Maybe we could meet up for a week to work it out.
A week of pure discovery, we'll see what we're about.
We'll change the world in seven days.
We can rebuild, we can make it last
Look at the future, forget the past.
We'll change the world in seven days.
Take a trip to the sea with me, pack a case with an open mind
Say the world and I'll set you free, and all the past, I'll leave behind.
Have a drink by the sea with me, have a drink with a funny name
Look me straight in the eyes and say, that you and I, are not the same.
Cause I know the way you feel and and I know the way you think.
I've bought you to the watter, it's up to you to drink.
We'll change the world in seven days.
We'll change our lives, we'll change our ways.
We can rebuild, we can make it last
Look at the future, forget the past.
We'll change the world in seven days.
Had a dream on the train today, had a dream in another time
Had a thought on the train today, that you and I, could be fine.
Took a walk in the rain today, took a walk in the freezing air
It was cold in the rain today, you know what, I didn't care.
Cause I know that in the future, there's a way of life to lead.
I know exactly what you want, I know now what you need.
We'll change the world in seven days.
We'll change our lives, we'll change our ways.
We can rebuild, we can make it last
Look at the future, forget the past.
We'll change the world in seven days.
We'll change the world in seven days.
We'll change our lives, we'll change our ways.
We can rebuild, we can make it last
Look at the future, forget the past.
We'll change the world in seven days.
