1. The Hush were a short-lived sixties band, originally a four-piece, from Birmingham, United Kingdom. They moved to London to seek fame, where they added keyboard player Peter Wood. In London they issued one record ('Elephant Rider' b/w 'Grey') for Fontana in March 1968. Personnel: Chris Anslow (aka Angelo, lead vocals), John Beattie (lead guitar), Peter "Twiggy" Wood (organ), Geoff Smith (bass), Mac Poole (drums). Mac Poole later replaced Cozy Powell in Young Blood and later played in Warhorse. John Beattie and Peter Wood later joined The Spectrum. Wood had success as a session player.
2. The Hush was also a U.K. folk group formed in 2001 by Jed Grimes (guitar, vocals) to record new arrangements of the old North East of England folk songs. Also in the group were Bob Fox (guitar, vocals), Paul Smith (drums, percussion), Neil Harland (bass), Graham Wood (keyboards) and Garry Linsley (sax), but the line-up had varied over the years to include various guest singers including Judy Dinning, Benny Graham, Ray Stubbs and Jane Wade.

Cozy Powell was in the Birmingham Band Young Blood as well, John Smith (also from Birmingham) first came to prominence recording Winchester Cathedral written by Geoff Stephens who essentially was The New Vaudeville Band Peter Grant became their manager. Smith who also played saxophone was later a member of progressive brummy band Galliard. In a promo video of John Smith on german beat club Cozy Powell and Vivian Stanshall appear in the video (uncomfirmed). John Smith looks a lot like Tony Burrows in my opinion.
