Do I Worry?
The Ink Spots Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Do I worry cause you're stepping out
Do I worry cause you got me in doubt
Though your kisses aren't right, do I give a bag of beans
Do I stay home every night and read my magazine

Am I frantic, cause we lost that spark
Is there panic when it starts turning dark
And when evening shadows creep, do I loose any sleep over you
Do I worry, you can bet your life I do

Do I worry when the iceman calls
Do I worry if Niagara Falls
Though you treat me just like dirt
You think I give a snap
Are my feelings really hurt
When you're sitting in somebody else's lap
Am I curious when the gossip flies
Am I furious bout your little white lies
And when all our evenings end
'Cause you got a sick friend that needs you
Do I worry, honey, you know dog gone well I do

Am I frantic, 'cause we've lost that spark
Is there panic when it starts turning dark
And when evening shadows creep

Do I lose any sleep over you
Do I worry, you can bet your life, I do

My lovely dad who died last year loved all this music. It always reminds me of him. I listened to some of it with him but not as much as I should have done and now I sit here the whole time and listen to all this wonderful music and think of him and wish more than anything that he was sitting next to me : (

No other band does this formula. the lead singer sings. and half way through the other guy with the very deep voice repeats the lyrics with a few changes but in a more conversational term. but it still works as the rest hum in the background,. masterful

İt's fabulous isn't it?And the detail is that the lead singer is tenor-like and the speech inside is in a bass tone. All the variation just works awesome.

It always makes me laugh, like the guy wants to sing real bad, but he can't so they let him at least put his spin on the song. It's very wholesome, even though the song is pretty sad, it just fills my heart with joy, a fuzzy feeling deep down inside, so captivating and mesmerizing, nothing quite like it.

Boyz II Men do something similar on End Of The Road.
