Catch 'em everywhere I go go
When they holla let them know
Ain't no going back and forth no
I be coastin my own lane
I ain't got no time for the games
you playing
They be tryna say I changed
I be tryna stay up
And I like it when I'm there
When I'm there
I ain't looking back
On my way up
I ain't coming down
Been there
Doing me now
When they see you on the way up
They always try to come back
When they see you got your weight up
They always try to come back
Always tryna come back
Come back
Come back yeah
Always tryna come back
Come back
Come back
Come back
I gave them clowns a second chance
They wanted four more
Now them niggas missing out on me
Like they got FOMO
Only time they see my ass is scrolling through my photos
They say to keep you foes close
But to me that's a no-no
I don't like no broke hoes who be tryna say they know me
Ya'll bitches be hella phony
You only just knew the old me
Homie don't know where you think this is going
Real niggas only
Don't hit me just cuz you lonely
I"m hot now you all up on me
I be tryna stay up
And I like it when I'm there
When I'm there
I ain't looking back
On my way up
I ain't coming down
Been there
Doing me now
When they see you on the way up
They always try to come back
When they see you got your weight up
They always try to come back
Always tryna come back
Come back
Come back yeah
Always tryna come back
Come back
Come back
Come back
In the song "Come Back" by The Jades, the opening lines suggest a playful attitude of someone who is not afraid to make their choices, as they choose partners with a simple game of Eenie meenie miney mo. It quickly moves to their self-awareness of being in control of their life, wanting to coast on their own lane without any drama from people who try to pull them back. The singer addresses the people who question their success and try to come back, once they see their position in life improved. The lyrics reflect a call-out culture, where people have been wronged or are unbothered by their past connections, as they vow not to look back and waste their time with those who only come around when they're up.
The lyrics of "Come Back" reflect a sentiment of empowerment and self-love, where the individual knows their worth and refuses to entertain people who only come to them when they have something to gain. It portrays a resilient approach to life, urging listeners to stay true to themselves and not compromise their integrity. The lyrics' forcefulness, coupled with the pop sound of the song, creates a catchy tune that encourages listeners to keep pushing forward and not look back.
