I was an assistant baseball coach at Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville Iowa for the 2016 season. Before our first road trip, some of the White players asked me what I was listening to to get motivated. They put on my headphones and heard this song. They were blown away. They were like "is this some new stuff? They didn't believe when I told them that this is a classic.

Here in Cleveland if you are REALLY old school, then you know the ORIGINAL JB’s Monorail line dance that came out in the 70s when this song was first popular. If you are younger, then you are probably NOT doing the original line dance. You have been doing the dance to “Disco Lady” by Johnnie Taylor. And that is why there is always a slight hesitation when you are doing those moves. Find you an old head, or someone who knows the original dance who will teach you the steps. It isn’t difficult. Still one of my favorite line dances. 🤗❤️💫✨

James you were the best. Used to skate trio at painters mill, M.D. opened until 5 due to segregation. We rolled off your music. No one's perfect but we loved how you had two bands and whoever wanted to go .goo. a lot like me but I'm not going to prison you were younger and in great health. @comedylaff "Steppin" aka "Steppers Music" is a form of dance made popular in the Chicago area. It's a very smooth form of dancing which is a take off the old "Boppin" form of dance. Just look up "Steppin" "Or Steppers Set" on youtube & I'm sure you'll see some videos of folks steppin'.
