The Jeff Beck Group Lyrics

(presley, blackwell)

Bless my soul, what's wrong with me ?
I'm itchin' like a man that's on a fuzzy tree
My friends say I'm acting as wild as a bug.
I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm all shook up.
Ah, ah, ah, all shook up most of the time.
Well, my knees are shakin'
And my hands are gettin' weak.
Can't seem to stand on my own two feet.
Who do you blame when you, oh, when you found such luck ?
I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love,
I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love
I'm all shook up, any old way

Yea please don't ask me what's up on my mind
I'm a little mixed up but I'm feelin' fine
But that's alright
Oh, when I meet a girl that I've love best,
My heart beats so and it scares me to death
But that's alright

She touched my lips, what a thrill I got
My [heart] beats like a volcano when it's red hot
I'm proud to say that she's my, oh, what a buttercup
I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love,
I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love,
I'm all shook up, any old time.
Ah, yeah
That's alright, listen
That's ok too

I'm in the mood for love, woman
I'm in the mood for love
My knees are shakin' and my elbows quakin'
I can't seem to stand on my own two feet
All shook up, oh yeah.

Please don't ask me what's up on my mind
I'm a little mixed up but I'm feeling fine
I'm in the mood for love, woman, yeah
In the mood for love
Come on babe

Bless my soul, what's wrong with me
Ah ...

Overall Meaning

"All Shook Up" by The Jeff Beck Group is a rock and roll song that was originally performed by Elvis Presley. The song revolves around the theme of falling in love and being completely overwhelmed by the emotions it brings. The chorus repeats the line "I'm all shook up" to emphasize this feeling of being overwhelmed. The first verse describes the physical symptoms that come with falling in love, such as itching and shaking. The second verse talks about trying to stand on your own two feet and not knowing who to blame when you're "all shook up" because you've found such luck. The bridge talks about being mixed up but feeling fine because you're in love. The final verse describes the thrill of being touched by the one you love and proudly declaring them as yours.

The song has a fast-paced tempo and an upbeat melody that reflects the energy and excitement of being in love. The use of repetition in the chorus adds to the catchy and memorable nature of the song, which has made it a classic in the rock and roll genre. The lyrics are simple yet effective, using vivid imagery to paint a picture of the physical and emotional experiences of being "all shook up" in love.

A well I bless my soul
What's wrong with me?
I'm itching like a man on a fuzzy tree
My friends say I'm acting wild as a bug
[Chorus]
I'm in love
I'm all shook up
My hands are shaky and my knees are weak
I can't seem to stand on my own two feet
Who do you thank when you have such luck?
[Chorus]
I'm in love
I'm all shook up
Please don't ask me what's on my mind
I'm a little mixed up, but I'm feeling fine
When I'm near that girl that I love best
My heart beats so it scares me to death
She touched my hand what a chill I got
Her lips are like a volcano that's hot
I'm proud to say she's my buttercup
I'm in love
I'm all shook up
Mm mm oh, oh, yeah, yeah!
My tongue get tied when I try to speak
My insides shake like a leaf on a tree
There's only one cure for this body of mine
That's to have the girl that I love so fine

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Jeff Beck. I had to listen to this LOUD. RIP Mr Beck. You were a true craftsman and devoted to your guitar. You will be remembered as a Master. This song is every bit as good as a Van Gogh

@dolly5279

Listen to "Blow By Blow" as well. That was recorded by the great George Martin who revealed the true heights of what Jeff could achieve. You might think you have heard all the pieces before but NOT like this. It is another step showing what Jeff Beck could do and revealed to Jeff what a GOOD recording should sound like. I was in the same class at school for just one term and we were all 13 years old, a year younger than he, at 14. He had turned up out of the blue because his Mum wanted him to finish off his school learning. He was desperately trying to get some kind of guitar, and was desperately trying to make one out of peculiar wires and bits of picture frames made of wood. This was what we all remembered, & I looked for him, in the future feeling sure he would achieve his goal in the end, and of course he did! Most Magnificently!!! Hurrah!!!Cynthia Allen McLaglen

"Truth"and "Beck-Ola"are the finest of Beck and Stewart together.

@josefomx1

You are missing "rough & ready"!!! For me the best of Beck.

@donaldmattia1491

"Rough and Ready" is probably my favorite, but it didn't have Stewart.

@PhukIT1865

53 years ago and still sounding so damn good

@trfesok

A very different arrangment! Originally recorded by David Hill, and also covered by Paul McCartney, Elvis's #1 fan. All 4 are in my "McCartney does the oldies" playlist. Thanks for the upload!

@nebod1556

You're Beck-blessed. Now to complete the karma... Go back and pay the shop. Even if they say "Forget it". The world will be better for it. -Doug Pratt, Atlanta, Georgia, USA
