1. The … Read Full Bio ↴There are several artists that have recorded as The Jesters.
1. The Jesters were one of the premier doo-wop groups of the 1950's in the US. They often appeared with the similar group the Paragons on such albums as "Rumble"
2. The Jesters were a garage band briefly signed to the Sun Records label. Their 1966 single Cadillac Man was one of the last releases from the label during the Sam Philips era, and the band featured Sam's son, Jerry, on guitar. For years this single was the only official release from the band, until the appearance of the 2008 Ace compilation Cadillac Men, which featured all of their known Sun recordings. As Alec Palao notes, the band's story was "even stranger than fiction, encompassing... Memphis maverick Jim Dickinson, a future medieval knight, and The World’s Most Perfectly Formed Midget Wrestler."
3. The Jesters were an early 1960s rock & roll band from Ohio. Its members were Lloyd Berrier (saxophone, vocals), Jerry Pocatko (accordion, organ) and David Vandernick (drums). They released two singles in 1961, "Peter Gunn Twist / The Jesters Jump" and "Jamaican Holiday / Diesel". Both tracks of the first single appeared on the Las Vegas Grind compilation series.
4. The Jester was a composer who composed the soundtrack for the Game "The Town With No Name" which released in 1992 for DOS and the CDTV.

The Wind
The Jesters Lyrics

When the cool summer breeze
Sends a chill down my spine
And I long for my love deep within
I know she is gone
But my love lingers on
In a dream that the wind brings to me
In the cool summer breeze
As she lay warm and tender in my arms
"Darling, when a star falls
I wish for you;
And darlin', when I see
Lover's making love then
I long for you ...
And when the sun and the stars
Are shinng above,
The mountains and the valleys,
Then darling I look for you;
And even until the heavens above
Can no longer exist,
Even until then I shall still love you".
I know she has gone
But my love it lingers on
In a dream that the wind brings to me.
The Jesters' song "The Wind" is a beautiful and haunting composition about lost love and longing. The lyrics paint a poignant picture of a man who still yearns for a love who has left him, and who finds solace in the wind. The song begins with the repetition of "wind wind blow wind oooooh oooh blow wind wind", signaling the power and presence of nature as a force that can both soothe and stir up emotions.
The first verse describes a cool summer breeze that sends a chill down the singer's spine, reminding him of his lost love. He acknowledges that his love is gone, but his feelings still linger on in a dream that the wind brings to him. The second verse is more specific, recounting a moment when the singer and his love were together in the cool summer breeze, kissing and holding each other. The woman speaks, telling him that she wishes for him when a star falls or when she sees lovers making love, and that she looks for him when the sun and the stars are shining above. The final lines of the song are the most poignant, as the singer declares that he will continue to love his lost love even when the heavens above can no longer exist.
Overall, the lyrics of "The Wind" are powerful and evocative, capturing the universality of lost love and the ways in which we seek solace and meaning in the natural world around us.

@@matthewgalati1870 Really? That's interesting, how do you know this?
@matthewgalati1870
@@rem-so1ly He did not make much of it during conversation. He worked for the DEP in New York later on in life and he handled a noise complaint. He sat down with my Father for coffee and he expressed that he never felt it was as great as others did. He was a very humble guy who cared very much about working people.
