@Ebm DQRI believe every religion at its core has the same basic idea to help humans evolve and reach enlightenment In their own way.
A person with true knowledge on comparative religion understands that there are more similarities amongst all religions than differences. But most people resort to fights using those few differences they have.(human nature)
It's like you have so many different books you could study for a given targeted exam(here life) and any of them mostly if read and followed correctly would help u pass the test. But every book is unique in its own way and differs from others in few things.
A person who tops most exams usually knows that the common things given in all these books which don't differ are the ones that he definitely needs to follow correctly to pass or even Excell their exams.
I believe if you really want to study religions in depth go directly to their scriptures not to the people who call themselves followers of that religion.
That's how you come to a conclusion that all of them speak the same language but In different ways.
I just want to have a peaceful conversation here and would like to know ur opinion on life that's all.
So I understand u r not a religious person and I respect that because u have the free will to choose what u decide in life. Then what according to you is the purpose of life? Just out of interest and curiosity would like to know.
Do you believe (out of evidence) that we are here just to reproduce and pass on our genetic material to the next generation to continue life like all other forms of life or do you think we could possibly be having a much more meaningful or a higher purpose?
if you could give me a valid and satisfying answer I might even use my free will to change my own beliefs.

The CIA weaponized the term 'conspiracy theorist' in 1967 to disarm people that were questioning the Warren Commission into the JFK assassination.
The US government didn't want to answer the questions that the some people were asking so they decided to try to discredit the questioners by getting the media to call them crazy conspiracy theorists because they couldn’t produce evidence to counter their evidence, questions, and arguments.
The CIA sent the now declassified Memo 1035-960 to their 'media assets' like NBC, ABC, CBS, New York Times, Washington Post etc INSTRUCTING them to begin using the term 'conspiracy theorist' as a weapon against anyone that did not believe what the government and media told them was true.
Today we have an army of trained parrots calling people that question the governments story as conspiracy theorists.
The CIA strategy has been very effective because these same people don't even realise that they are merely repeating what the CIA and media has trained them to say.

It is vital to communicate with people who don't share your perspective on things.
They might learn something new!
The only way anyone can truly help you is to respectfully explore your beliefs, ideas, and opinions, openly and honestly.
But most importantly to do it free of the ego, so that we do not respond defensively and reduce the encounter to an argument to prove whos right or whos wrong which inevitably happens to many people.
Rather than both parties being open-minded and exploring all ideas without the ego, in order to see the validity or truth behind any concepts mentioned.
Peer pressure exists everywhere as soon as you are in a twosome. And the dominant narrative in a group is usually endorsed by dominant characters, and if you show any dissent with whatever that dominant narrative is, you will be ousted from the group.
People get caught up in beLIEf systems, belief systems are not conducive to skepticism and independent critical thinking.
We only have beliefs when we have no proof.
Reality and facts do not need beliefs.
We may not be able to always find the truth, but we can highlight what is false.
And once we expose all that is false, then maybe what is left is the truth.

Well Tom, me old mucker. Conspiracies will be exposed quite quickly. And utter bollocks will continue to be utter bollocks because that is what it is. The beauty of life....and the sad , sad banality of death. Michael Shermer says it how it is ....plus he doesn't diss people's hope...whether religion or other stuff. I think people are scared of him in a way. The conclusions are quite depressing. But he has been on a journey himself, being born again but then realising it was all man made.

Wholeness Tom! after Mr. Shermer's denial of pizzagate I stopped the video, so I could not tell you about any other points he was making but it did entrenched my beliefs. I used to translate for some group in Switzerland back in 2000 and at the time I couldn't believe what I was translating but I kept up with it and everything that might have been called conspiracy back then it has happened and continues to happen and now days they don't even care about hiding anything anymore. They just do it because they can and even though there are a lot of angry and unhappy people they are relentless with their propaganda, call it communism or label it differently. The have not against the haves. Racism. Any label is irrelevant because for them the end justify the means. I left Cuba in 1960 because political issues. Dividing the masses including friend against friend, family against family and then including race and religion, that is how communism works. Another famous speech in January 1960 shows you Fidel Castro dis-arming the Country because after all the government was there to protect the people so nobody needed to own guns and that is how he took that power away from the people hands and went on to create chaos among the folks. In USA now days there are so many people that are as complacent as sheep. Maybe not everyone knows about Fauci and HIV, about eugenics, Bill Gates and Planned Parenthood and out of fear they obey. Vaccinate -die. Wear masks and show the rest of the world how well controlled people are. And after all, fear of what? of dying? We are all going to die one way or another and nobody dies the day before they are supposed to die. I have a neighbor that was healthy, went with his mother to get some "free" food, the line was long and there were some people that told them "if you get vaccinated you'll go to the front of the line" so they did. He is now very sick, his stomach looks like he is nine months pregnant with a whole on the side and all black and blue, his legs are very swollen with another hole in one of the ankles that continues bleeding and he looks grey and so much older than he is. I have another friend that three (3) days after vaccination began bleeding so profusely that she had to have a DNC because the blood would not stopped. She was lucky it didn't clog. How deep do you want to go in the rabbit hole? We are living in unprecedent times, now every lie is out in the open for everybody to make up their minds. I'm 67 years young and have lived in USA since the sixties, I have never voted simply because I didn't and still don't believe in it. The only vaccine I have had it was back when arriving as an immigrant, other than that - nothing. It has been proven that vaccines have turned healthy kids into autistic children, we now enjoy fluoride, chem trails, Monsanto GMO and glassphosphate, Big Pharma, psycho politicians, false prophets, dishonest people, dishonest politicians, dishonest priests, not only Catholics but other cults as well, laws have been created to protect the criminals, USA is #1 in jails and they are all private. We are in the thick of Kali Yuga (Eastern Philosophy) I just trust to still be incarnated when the circus ends and they all get what each one deserve, like the Marxist Manifesto, like water seeking its own level. And yes and totally entrenched in my believe that we need to get out of this Matrix where old programs are running around creating havoc. You are a great guy with an array of interests and I enjoy your shows except for the one with Mr. Shermer but somehow that is what your show is; or exposing your audience to new ideas, about pushing boundaries and teaching people be the best version of themselves, but people do as they are.
