Made up of singer Brad Tabor, lead guitarist Zach Lindsey, bassist Josh London and steel guitarist Alex Lindsey, the Josephines are the embodiment of the country rebel spirit.
Formed in 2017 in a bid to "have fun, make some cash & raise a little hell," the boys have been doubling down on that mission statement since day one. Combining dense, smooth harmonies ala Midland and the Eagles, moody story telling reminiscent of Tom Waits or Blaze Foley, a dash of pop songwriting sheen courtesy of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers & all the rock n roll energy of the best Foo Fighters show, the Josephines are on a path all their own and invite everyone to join the ride.

I see the way you look at me
Your eyes believe in disbelief
Oh no
Long blonde hair
And bright green eyesI see the devil has a new disguise
Saw you twirling in that dress
Who buys your Sunday best
Oh my god, that can’t be him
I used to call that man my friend
With a pack of matches
And a can of gasoline
I’m gonna burn your house to the ground
All the doors are locked
The windows are sealed
I’ll see you in Satansfield
I followed you back home
Not gonna make my presence known
Watched you walk down the hall
Oh I wouldn’t take that call
You really should’ve changed the locks
Not every stranger’s gonna knock
I see you thinking “what’s that smell”
The fire take you to hell
With a pack of matches
I’m gonna burn your house to the ground
All the doors are locked
The windows are sealed
I’ll see you in Satansfield
With a pack of matches
And a can of gasoline
I’m gonna burn your house to the ground
All the doors are locked
The windows are sealed
I’ll see you in Satansfield
I’ll See you in Satansfield
The lyrics of The Josephines's song "Satansfield" depict a dark and haunting story of obsession, betrayal, and revenge. The singer feels a sense of betrayal and disbelief as they observe someone they once considered a friend, now seemingly transformed into something sinister. The mention of the person's physical appearance - with descriptions of long blonde hair, bright green eyes, and a new devilish disguise - sets the stage for the unfolding of a vengeful plot.
The lyrics take on a menacing tone as the singer describes their plan to set fire to the person's house with a pack of matches and a can of gasoline. The imagery of burning down the house symbolizes a desire to destroy something significant to the other person, indicating the depth of the singer's anger and resentment. The locked doors and sealed windows suggest a sense of finality and inevitability, as if there is no escape from the impending confrontation.
The narrative continues with the singer stalking the person back to their home, remaining hidden and watching their every move. The mention of the person not changing the locks and the dismissive attitude towards a call further emphasizes the vulnerability and lack of awareness on their part. The tension builds as the singer waits for the right moment to carry out their plan, with the person unknowingly walking into the impending danger.
The repeated refrain of "I'll see you in Satansfield" serves as a chilling reminder of the singer's determination to exact their revenge. The mention of the smell of fire and the imagery of the flames taking the person to hell metaphorically represent the destructive consequences of their actions. Overall, the lyrics of "Satansfield" paint a vivid picture of a sinister and intense confrontation fueled by betrayal and a desire for retribution.
