Their live show makes a bit more sense of their name. With their rhythmic layering and huge indie pop riffs, it’s hard to imagine them performing under any other name.
‘The Jungle Giants’ is the brain child of lead singer Sam Hales who originally arranged the band as a solo project, but soon found that there was more to the group. Landing their debut gig at the Brisbane Powerhouse as part of ‘Livespark’ in late 2010, they impressed crowds with their head bopping and exciting live show. The band spent the summer of 2010 writing and recording their self-titled debut EP that was released in 2011.
Don't Know What Else To Do
The Jungle Giants Lyrics

And it runs through your veins, straight to your brain
Imagine if you can, a certain kind of man
You wanna see now, you wanna see when
You wake up
I just wanted to see a different kind of me
A million things, that make your head spin
But it’ll break your heart down, down to the ground
Then you’ll wake up
You’ll wake up
Love is irrelevant
It’s all about playing it cool
I’m crazy for you girl
That’s why I gotta play it cool
Don’t know what else to do
Tell me what you want, just tell me what you want
And I’ll take you away, far from this place
You could take a chance on that other boy’s hand
But it’ll break your heart down, down to the ground
Then you’ll wake up
You’ll wake up
Love is irrelevant
It’s all about playing it cool
I’m crazy for you girl
That’s why I gotta play it cool, yeah
Love is irrelevant
It’s all about playing it cool, yeah
I’m crazy for you girl
That’s why I gotta play it cool
Don’t know what else to do
Don’t know what else to do
Don’t know what else to do
Don’t know what else to do
The lyrics to The Jungle Giants' song Don't Know What Else To Do revolve around a love interest and the singer's struggle to express his true feelings. The song begins by suggesting that there may be a new reason to be true, with this newfound sense of purpose running through the singer's veins and straight to their brain. The lyrics then invite the listener to imagine a certain kind of man, one who wants to see himself differently when he wakes up. The singer, like the man in these lyrics, desires change and hopes to become someone different.
The chorus follows, asserting that love is irrelevant and that it's all about playing it cool. Even though the singer is crazy about this girl, he feels the need to play it cool and not express his true feelings. He insinuates that there is an alternative option to take a chance with another boy's hand, but cautions that it will end up breaking her heart down to the ground. The bridge brings things back to the singer's chorus message that he doesn't know what else to do. The song implies that the singer remains lost, unsure and frustrated in his pursuit of love and desires something new, even though he might not know what it is.
