The song that The Kevin Costners are so feverishly looking for? Well, nobody knows. And that is a good thing. Because that will keep The Costners searching for great songs in the meantime. And that is what they like to do best. Well, of course playing a sold out Melkweg and winning the Grolsh Grote Prijs van Nederland (Hollandâs leading band contest) is very nice too. But hey, you canât play great gigs without great songs, can you? The Kevin Costners started out as a home recording project in 2004. Actually they didnât record at home. Stijn, Sjors and Bouke put their gear in a van and drove to an abandoned railway house in the north of France. There they recorded their first songs and immediately they knew what the The Kevin Costners were about: solid indie pop with strong melodies and soulfull beats. To perform live they were joined by David (replaced by Bas in march 07) on keyboards and Rick on bass. After two rehearsals their first gig was at a local band contest in the famous Doornroosje. The Kevin Costners won the Roos van Nijmegen. Since then The Kevin Costners have earned a great live reputation playing all over Holland and Belgium (2 costners live in Antwerp). They really do not care much where they play as long as there are people that want to hear their songs. Playing a sold out Paradiso with the Veils or the Rotterdam Metropolis Festival is really great, but a late night gig in an obscure harbour bar in Antwerp certainly has its charm too. Their live performance is very enthusiastic. They clearly enjoy what they do. One journalist wrote: âThese guys probably canât do anything else, if they wanted to. What a passion! What a pleasure!â âPleasureâ was also the key word at the finale of the Grote Prijs. Certainly after their victory was announced. The jury said: âBrilliant songs. Hit material. This band should be signed right now!!!â Well, the Kevin Costners are working on that. The debut record will be released early in 2008 by Excelsior Recordings.

I will watch anything with Kevin Costner. He has become a fine veteran actor.
@KevinMichaelCostner-kv2tc
Thanks very much, Kathrynmolesa, for the compliment, I really appreciate your love and support towards me.â¤

I have loved Yellowstone from the very beginning, I don't think the show will be the same without Kevin Costner, they are a family and I love each of them for the parts they play but what is Rip gonna do without his boss and friend, and also where does it leave Beth. I truly hate to see him leave the show but I wish him the very best in whatever he does. Much love to all of you and good luck with the show.
@scalar12
I could see it working out well with Kayce and Rip, along with Beth as the new leaders of the ranch. John, as he said himself, was also 30 when he took over the ranch, so about the age of Kayce and in episode 5x08 he seems to hand over the ranch to Kayce.

I don't think Costner was the problem. The real problem is Taylor Sheredan trying to start too many spin-off's and not finishing what he started with the original show. I any not watch any of Sheridan's of his other series If I can't count of him to follow through.
@PrudenciaRuiz-mw5dz
I agree with Mike. Sheredan , Sheredan looks like a show off.Hes the writer but it seems he just had to put himself in the show to try and get some of that spotlight taken off Costner, but it didn't work.

What do you mean "follow through"? Taylor Sheridan's "spin offs" are meant to be the history of John Dutton's family and how they got to be the present day Yellostone Dutton ranch! Yellowstone IS the continuation of those "spin offs"! Jaysus, dude!
