1. a one-man electronic band from Sweden
2. a punk/rock and roll band from Florida, United States
3. a British mod/rock group from the 1980s
4. a Dutch pop/rock band from the 1980s
1. David Sundqvist is The Kick and 'Dancer' is his début single. Hwever, David is no wet-behind-the-ears newbie. With a list of previous bands behind him (such as the electro-glam rock Elasmo, Fireline Angels and Kitty & The K) he's not been idle in recent years. Not only studio work has kept him busy; living out of a minibus on a country-wide live circuit he's seen it all from Hultsfred to Arvika, as a guitarist with Kristian Antilla. "The Kick comes from a need to create music entirely by my own hands. From broken beats, distorted synth and epic guitar riffs the sound just grew on its own."
2. The Kick (Florida, United States) was a punk/rock band that formed from past members of Dear Ephesus. Current members, like frontman Louis DeFabrizio are in the rock band Gasoline Heart.
3. The Kick (London, United Kingdom) was a mod rock band from East London that had some success in the early 80s.
4. The Kick was one of the groups of the prolific Dutch musician and songwriter, Fred van Vught, who was active in groups such as Telephone, Fantasy and Two Of A Kind in the 1970s. With Telephone, Van Vught worked with Boney M. mastermind, Frank Farian. Van Vught re-surfaced in the Dutch charts in 1980 with 'Blinded' b/w 'Like A Puppet', the début single of yet another new project, The Kick.
Hail the King
The Kick Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Lately I feel so xxx-rated
Science tries to prove you wrong
As converted cripples hum along
Then there's lonely brids who can't confess
Unfaithful wives who won't resist
There's no reason
Hey Jesus won't you hurry back
This life divine it has turned black
I'm passing out to pass the time
So pass me a pint and watch me shine
I'm telling tales to those
Who know the man who sold it all
All Hail the King who takes me back
There's no reason
We all hail, We all hail
We all hail, We all hail.
The lyrics of The Kick's song, Hail The King, reflect the desperation and hopelessness someone feels when they have hit rock bottom. The line "Hey Jesus won't you heal my head, lately I feel so xxx-rated" suggests that the singer is actually asking for help from a higher power, but because of their sense of shame, they can't or won't ask for help in a direct manner. The line "science tries to prove you wrong" reflects the doubt the singer has in both religion and science. They feel that neither can help them, which leads to their feelings of hopelessness.
The lyrics then touch on the different types of people who are also feeling lost, such as "converted cripples," "lonely birds who can't confess," and "unfaithful wives who won't resist." These lines suggest that everyone has their own burdens to bear and their own secrets to keep.
The chorus, "All Hail the King who takes me back, there's no reason," emphasizes the need for someone to turn to a higher power for help when they feel like they have no reason to keep going. The repetition of "We all hail" suggests that the singer is not alone and that many others also turn to a higher power for help.

The lyrics:
You only care for clout and gold
legions of minions doing just what they are told
but I've never asked for all this power I was given
I can admit to many flaws but i am driven
to the brink of sanity
And then further with no doubt
all to get back to the person that I cannot be without
All the nations of the world prepare:
You have never loved, you have never cared
All the traitor of the cause dispair:
I will have my way, no one shall be spared
Rise up and sing: all hail the king!
To me it feels like yesterday
since the colours fled your skin
all I see is black and grey
There's only one way we can wake up from this nightmare
if there's a path that I must walk then I will go there to the brink of sanity
and then further with no doubt
all to get back to the person I cannot be without
All the nations of the world prepare:
You have never loved, you have never cared
All the traitor of the cause dispair:
I will have my way, no one shall be spared
Rise up and sing: all hail the king!
All the nations of the world prepare:
You have never loved, you have never cared
All the traitor of the cause dispair:
I will have my way, no one shall be spared
Rise up and sing: all hail the king!

I thought the lyrics were going to be something along the lines of..
Watch your tongue or have it cut from your head
Save your life by keeping whispers unsaid
Children roam the streets now orphans of war
Bodies hanging in the streets to adore
Royal flames will carve a path in chaos
Bringing daylight to the night
Death is riding into town with armor
They've come to take all your rights
But that song is great :)

I cannot express how overwhelmingly honored I am for having been granted the opportunity to make this video. I've been an absolute Falconshield fangirl for seven years now, and this channel was the main reason I first felt the interest to learn motion design and After Effects to begin with. Thanks, Josef :) and hit me up for the next one!

I absolutely love the work you have done. Falconshield was a huge inspiration for me as well to dip my toes in the motion graphics and animation ocean. And even though I am nowhere near you professionals, it is well inspiring!! Wonderful work, you have tied the song together splendidly.

@Trae Personius That was the intention! Thanks so much :D

When a song makes rito's lore sound way better than the way they wrote it themselves.. Good job absolutely love it!

@Bob, but slowly fading Thats why making her actually be a strong queen would bring a lot off character to her as well as add a lot of facets, like maybe she didn t initially loved viego but marrying a king is certantly a hard deal to throw away. or you could make her actually try to save viego from the poisoned dagger rather than being a bystander maybe add that kalistas deflect wasn t enough and she had to jump in front as well. there could be so many small tweeks done to the story to make everything a whole lot bbetter.
and speaking of kind iisolde the cinematic made her anything but that choosing to rather fuck off from him than try to at least plead to him one last time since he was obviously so happy to see her whole again. Maybe one last didtch effort to try to redeem what was left of the man she loved, and if they pushed it right even manage to increase the tragedy if she actually succeded in making him relinquish his control over the mist and the world only for thresh (since they seem ot push this narrative) to just capture viego in the lantern and take control over the mist because of that. it would be an appropriate punishment for all the evil he did but at the same time also be increadibly sad and fitting for him.

@ZergMeTaSWORM It certainly sounds interesting, though I must say as a Gwen hater and Viego enjoyer, almost main, I don´t like Isolde at all. I find her to be the weakest link in his lore and it´s weird how everyone liked Isolde and she was apparently the kindest and sweetest person around or something. People disregard Viego as the "simp king", but I think Isolde is the one who actually has no real character.

@Bob, but slowly fading Honestly i think the story and everyone else kinda underestimates how hard him becoming a king was(i realised a bit later when i thought about it more). After all he was like 25 at most when he lost both his father(which would not be over 60 for sure) and his brother whcih all things conisdered it isn t a very easy to digest even in royalty where backstabbing shit like this happens. I would have loved (and headcannoned this) that he met isoled when he was a prince still and only later married her when he became king.
I honestly would like if he was just a weaker man (mentally speaking) closer to an artistic soul like a poet prince or something like that hence his lack of capability to rule but also wisdom to know that becoming king involves a lot of responsability he frankly can t handle. Besides it woul dmake it even better (by how the story was written) if camavore did good under his rule because isolde basically influenced his decissions to better help the people since she was a peasant girl after all and knew that even in a prosperous nation there could be more done to help the common folk more.
