DNA
The Kills渀 Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

When it came to pass,
Loaded, pass me by
Fate, with a single blow,
Has clustered by me now
True, I had my chance,
True, true, true I had those wild charms for you
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh

My fire burned them out
But we will not be moved by it
We will not be moved by it
Your mind would never ache,
When you were young and sound
The way your heart aches now,
You feel you sent them onto ground

Love, love, love til you got enough,
Dance, dance, dance, if you got no love around you
Love, love, love, til' you got enough,
Dance, dance, dance, til' there's no one left to hound you
We will not be moved by it
We will not be moved by it

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Love, love, love til you got enough,
Dance, dance, dance, if you got no love around you
Love, love, love, til you got enough,
Dance, dance, dance, til' there's no one left to hound you
We, we will not be moved by it
We, we will not be moved by it

We, we will not be moved by it
We, we will not be moved by it

Overall Meaning

The Kills' song "DNA" is a powerful and haunting ballad that explores the themes of love and heartache. The song starts off with the singer reflecting back on a relationship that has ended, wondering how fate has brought her to this moment. She acknowledges that she had her chance with this person, but her "wild charms" were not enough to keep them together. She then goes on to sing about the pain of the breakup, comparing it to a fire that has burned out. Despite the hurt, she declares that she will not be moved by it and will continue to pursue love and happiness.

The chorus of the song is a call to action, encouraging the listener to keep loving and dancing despite the pain and heartache that can come with it. The repetition of "love, love, love" and "dance, dance, dance" create a sense of momentum and urgency, urging the listener not to give up on love. The song ends with the declaration that "we will not be moved by it", suggesting that despite the trials and tribulations of love, we must continue to persevere.

Overall, "DNA" is a stirring and powerful song that speaks to the universal experience of heartache and the importance of resilience and perseverance. The Kills' raw and emotional vocals paired with the haunting guitar riffs create a haunting and unforgettable listening experience.

Very precious information from Mr Seyfried 👍 Thank you very much for your podcast. It is great to realize the connection between a diet (high carb vs low carb) and cancer...and next level is to realize straight relation between our breathing pattern and many diseases ✌
Dr Artour Rakhimov wrote the book (with many links to studies) about cancer and breathing: Doctors who cure Cancer.
What discovered Dr Buteyko and Prof. Seyfried is much underestimated...what a pity!

Peter, thanks so much for these phenomenal podcasts! You seem to hold a large amount of muscle mass, are you currently following a deuterium-depleted ketogenic diet? If yes, how does it affect your performance and muscle mass? I see you've interviewed Boros and Gabor already, so I'm sure you're familiar with the benefits of deuterium depletion. Thanks!

@KortalaulPodcast

Ha Alan - thanks! I am 82 kg and 175 cm tall, so I can not say I carry large amount of muscle, but at age 50 all positive feedback is appreciated...:) Yes, I am in a DD diet...

Regarding the field not recognizing (or even listening/considering) the hypothesis, that cancer is not a genetic disease. I think the reasons are ignorance, vanity, indolence and money related (fear from losing their funds). All the work done is supported by field data. At the least, this work must be considered by the relevant authorities and properly funded if valid.
All the funds and resources used in the defense, in bad health politics. It´s a tragedy. It´s been decades. No significant progresses in oncology therapies . Give room to others. Go back to the books. Consider always that there might be another way of doing things. Be humble.
