There She Goes
The La\'s Lyrics

There she goes again
Racing through' my brain
And I just can't contain
This feelin' that remains
There she blows
There she blows again
And I just can't contain
This feelin' that remains
There she goes, there she goes again
She calls my name, pulls my train
No one else could heal my pain
But I just can't contain
This feelin' that remains
There she goes
There she goes again
Chasing down my lane
And I just can't contain
This feelin' that remains
There she goes
There she goes
There she goes
The La's song "There She Goes" is both simple and complex at the same time. The lyrics are incredibly repetitive, with the same words and phrases repeated over and over again. However, this repetition is intentional and purposeful, serving to emphasize the intense, all-consuming nature of the feelings being described. The song is about a woman who seems to constantly be on the singer's mind, racing through his brain and pulsing through his veins. She has the power to heal his pain, but he just can't contain the feeling that remains.
While some have speculated that the song is about a drug addiction, others believe it is simply a love song. Regardless of the interpretation, one thing that is clear is the incredible catchiness of the melody and the enduring popularity of the song. The La's were known for their melodic, jangly guitar pop, and "There She Goes" is a prime example of this style. The song has been covered by numerous artists and used in various movies and TV shows.

So true! I've loved this song for so long. When it came out I dreamed someone would ever think this about me. When I met my fiance we made mix cd's for each other and he put this one on mine. I'll tell you it won my heart! He had know idea I liked the song and I had no idea he knew this original version of it. Big points were scored. Lol.
